Monster Hunter Wilds Roadmap—Mizutsune DLC Update & More

Although Monster Hunter Wilds hasn’t been released just yet, its timeline and plans for upcoming DLC content have been disclosed. While it doesn’t reveal everything, this preview should provide a sense of what lies ahead at the outset – such as the appearance of Mizutsune.

In advance of the game’s release, it’s become quite standard to inform players about upcoming content for a game. Following suit, Capcom has shared details regarding Monster Hunter Rise (Monster Hunter Wilds), which were revealed during the Sony State of Play in February 2025.

It’s not a monstrous amount of content announced, but enough to keep us all invested.

Monster Hunter Wilds Roadmap Explained

Capcom announced that they will be providing regular updates for Monster Hunter Wilds, including new quests, skins, and monsters to discover.

Mizutsune

Initially showcased through a PlayStation Blog article on Monster Hunter Wilds, Mizutsune is referred to as an “imposing creature.

The creature is said to exhibit dance-like assaults, using bubbles as its weapon, showcasing a blend of elegance and ferocity. It’s unclear whether this is just a typical beast or if defeating it would require something more substantial than simple weapons like sticks and rocks.

Event Quests & Cosmetics

New missions called Special Quests are being introduced, offering unique in-game armors with distinctive styles! The specifics of these quests are yet unknown, but if you thought Monster Hunter Wilds was vast already, get ready to don your thinking cap because there’s even more content on the horizon!

Day One PS5 Pro Patch

On launch, Monster Hunter Rise on PS5 Pro will receive an update that boosts its performance, specifically through ray tracing technology, which improves the overall gaming experience.

When is Mizutsune Coming to Monster Hunter Wilds?

In Spring 2025, Mizutsune will debut in Monster Hunter Wilds, providing plenty of time for players to get ready for this formidable creature.

Capcom hasn’t revealed Mizutsune just yet, but it’s evident that this creature is quite significant, size-wise. Keep an eye out for more information about Mizutsune, its location, and the steps needed to encounter and activate it within Monster Hunter Wilds.

Is it appropriate for businesses to unveil downloadable content (DLC) and future plans before a game’s launch? Does the potential negativity get balanced out by promising that the content will be free upon release? I find myself ambivalent about this practice, but I appreciate the transparency, as well as the announced cost of Wilds’ content.

Apart from our numerous Monster Hunter Wilds manuals, we also provide information on Pre-Order Bonuses, the game’s file size, and updates from the Beta Test.
