In exactly two weeks, we’re set to unveil EA Sports NHL 26! As we edge closer to its release, additional information regarding the Be A Pro gameplay aspect has been disclosed prior to launch.
After exploring the specifics of the mode, some fans were left with unanswered queries regarding certain aspects. However, further clarification has been provided on what can be expected, as well as what will not be included, within this mode.
In the EA forums, the community manager Aljo addressed several queries regarding exit strategies for tunnels, junior ice hockey, contract issues, among other topics.
About starting your career in sports, following the World Juniors tournament, you have the opportunity to compete in European leagues or the CHL. Upon being drafted, though, you’ll be limited to playing either in the NHL or AHL, based on your performance.
Regarding on-ice celebrations known as “tunnel walkouts,” a feature that fans have been eagerly anticipating, it’s worth noting that they are initially included in NHL 26’s Be A Pro mode at the game’s release. Importantly, these celebrations will not occur every game but will be limited to certain significant moments instead.
In simpler terms, the platform doesn’t include contract negotiations for players or allow viewing of league injuries or transactions.
Aljo stated that “Be a Pro” primarily concentrates on the personal development of the player, which is the main emphasis.
Lastly, Be A Pro will support custom rosters provided they are created before you start the mode.
On September 5, the new NHL 26 will be available for purchase (Deluxe Edition only) on both Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. If you opt for the Standard Edition, you’ll receive access to the game starting from September 12.
