Mortal Kombat 1 Gets First Look At Conan The Barbarian and T-1000 Terminator

In an unofficial sneak peek, images of Conan the Barbarian and T-1000 Terminator have been leaked in the context of Mortal Kombat 1. This first glance was shown through a Mortal Kombat 1 Pro Kompetition trailer.

Initially, the T-1000’s hand transforms from liquid metal to human-like form, resembling actor Robert Patrick. Similarly, Conan the Barbarian is modeled after Arnold Schwarzenegger from the 1982 film. The character displays a ruthless brutality, as seen in his actions of thrusting a dagger through an opponent’s face and subsequently splitting him in two.

In contrast to Conan the Barbarian’s portrayal in the film, it won’t be Arnold Schwarzenegger’s voice you hear in the game. Instead, Patrick is lending his voice to this iconic character. You can take a look at the trailer for yourself below, as new character appearances start approximately 45 seconds into the video.

On January 21st, players can expect to play as Conan the Barbarian in Mortal Kombat 1. Unfortunately, there’s no announced release date for T-1000 Terminator at this time. Both characters are among the final DLC fighters planned for the game’s roster. Recent speculation indicates that Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios may have abandoned plans for Kombat Pack 3, following a less than impressive response to the Khaos Reigns expansion.

As of now, neither Warner Bros. Games nor NetherRealm Studios have acknowledged or provided comments regarding these reports. However, if the speculation about the game’s future releases is true, it seems that Mortal Kombat will remain a key priority for Warner Bros. Games in the coming days, as suggested by its CEO.
