As a seasoned Mortal Kombat 1 veteran with years of combat under my belt, I must say that the latest Invasions mode Klue, A Friend of Ivy, has been a real treat for us green thumb enthusiasts. It’s not every day you get to solve riddles in a game inspired by an allergenic plant!
In Season 8 of the game, Ivy’s Friend serves as the fifth clue for the Invasions mode and can be found in the Fire Temple Mesa. To locate it, players participating in Mortal Kombat 1 should make their way to the Stars & Scars Node, situated right across from the Shop, close to the portal that players initially enter through on the Mesa.
It’s worth noting that “A FRIEND OF IVY” is a hint pointing towards Poison Ivy, a commonly recognized allergenic plant. Interestingly, one character in the game Mortal Kombat 1 has an ability called Animality, which transforms them into another harmful plant type. By activating this skill, players can solve the puzzle at hand.
How to Solve the A FRIEND OF IVY Klue in Mortal Kombat 1
To crack the mystery of Ivy’s Friend Clue, gamers must execute Reptile’s “Feed Me” and “Syzoth Animality”. This can be accomplished by pressing Down, Down, Back, Back followed by Kick (Circle for PlayStation, B for Xbox, or A for Switch) when at a moderate distance. Once done, Reptile will transform into a Venus flytrap, swallowing the opponent. Upon returning to the map screen, the obstacles previously barring access to the Klue chest will vanish, paving the way for players to collect their prizes.
A FRIEND OF IVY Klue Rewards
Within the treasure chest named “A Friend of Ivy’s Klue,” gamers can expect to discover the “Takeda’s Corrupted Punishment Skin,” the “Poison Drip Epic Talisman,” and a total of 100 “Seasonal Credits.” As always, these Seasonal Credits can be utilized to buy limited-time cosmetics. However, starting this season, the Seasonal Store will offer permanent Brutalities for every playable character. The Poison Drip Talisman inflicts Acid damage over a wide area.
