Most OP Digimon

Summary

  • Some Digi-evolutions are cataclysmic: ZeedMillenniummon and Apocalymon can erase worlds.
  • Royal Knights and Jogress fusions (Examon, Alphamon Ooryuken, Gallantmon X) wield near-unstoppable might.
  • Godlike Digimon are rare, feared, and playable only in select titles like DMO or Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth.

In simple terms, certain Digi Evolutions and Jogress (DNA Evolutions) possess such immense strength that they significantly alter the Digital World for eternity with their actions. These Digimon are so powerful that they’re seldom encountered alongside a Trainer or Chosen One, instead being viewed as influential figures or part of legends. In extreme instances, their primary role is to herald the destruction of both the Digital and sometimes physical worlds.

In simple terms, these colossal Digital Behemoths have earned a reputation as the most infamous, not just due to their flawed capabilities but also their immense power, size, and the intricate mechanics that govern their Digievolutions. You’ll encounter some of the strongest Digimon in the games here.

ZeedMilleniummon

The Definitive Final Boss

  • Power Rank: SSS
  • Type: VIRUS
  • Phase: Mega

As a devoted admirer, let me share my awe at the colossal being known as ZeedMilleniummon, who traverses space on a scale rivaling that of a planet in the Digital World. This formidable figure brings chaos to multiple realms, obliterating worlds left and right, while defying the very fabric of reality thanks to powers akin to those of a deity. If Apocalymon is the harbinger of destruction within the Digital World, then ZeedMilleniummon stands as the universal annihilator. His ultimate move, Time Destroyer, carries such immense power that it not only devastates any opposing Digimon but also twists time itself into a lifeless jumble of data.

Zeed Millenniumon possesses an immense power, far beyond what we’ve mentioned so far. This monster can annihilate an entire galaxy in a blink of an eye. Yet, its cruel nature is such that it believes itself invincible, allowing certain ‘heroes’ to challenge it in one-on-one combat. Strangely enough, this overconfidence might be its only vulnerability, as it can be held back but not fully destroyed. Instead, it retreats into a dormant state, traveling through Dark Matter until it regains its strength over millennia.

What makes Zeed Millenniumon truly terrifying is that it’s currently in its Mega form, with rumors suggesting (aside from its Moon form) that it also has a Burst Mode that is exponentially more powerful.

Examon

Ruler Of All Dragons, Knight Savior

  • Power Rank: SS++
  • Type: DATA
  • Phase: Jogress

The blend of Slayerdramon and Breakdramon, both Mega Digimons from the Dracomon family, leads to the colossal and honorable figure known as Examon – The Spear Dragon Knight. Known as the most potent Data Digimon, Examon boasts an imposing size and immense power due to a blend of Holy and Draconic powers. He stands among the nobility of the Royal Knights as the mightiest Digimon in their esteemed group within the Digital World.

Justicars, and also as the Emperor Dragon, the most powerful Digimon of that family.

In simpler terms, Examon, as depicted by Ambrose, holds a comparable might to that of Gram and Gugnir. This Digimon’s scales are crafted from a unique alloy called Chronodigizoid, which is the strongest metal in the Digital World and derived from Red Digizoids. The strength of Examon’s wings can be likened to sturdy shields. Its three primary attacks include Avalon Gate, Pendragon’s Glory, and Draconic Impact. Examon draws inspiration from Uther Pendragon, the father of King Arthur, who was often referred to as the Dragon Emperor in some accounts of this legendary figure’s origins.

Chaosmon

The Empowered Version Of a Fan Favorite

  • Power Rank: SS++
  • Type: VACCINE
  • Phase: Jogress

In this fusion process known as Jogress Digi-Evolution, BanchoLeomon and Darkdramon merge to create Chaosmon, a DNA Digimon. This unique creature embodies the noble traits of Leomon, complete with its distinctive blade, and the turbulent, destructive essence of Darkdramon. The power of Chaosmon is extraordinary due to its ability to maintain both DigiCores intact, similar to Omnimon, Apocalymon, and a select few others. However, unlike most Jogress Digimon, Chaosmon’s raw power is significantly greater, surpassed only by Examon in terms of force.

Its standout move is Bancho Blade, amplifying Leomon’s Magna Shishomaru (Great Beast King Blade) with chaotic energy and releasing a destructive strike that cleaves through everything it encounters. Additionally, it wields Dark Prominence, harnessing the immense power of Darkdramon’s line and bypassing defenses to strike at the core, causing internal shattering and leaving enemies as fragments of crystalline debris. A formidable adversary in the Digital World indeed.

Fanglongmon

The Fusion Of Four Divine Digimon

  • Power Rank: SS+
  • Type: DATA
  • Phase: Jogress

The mightiest and most lethal Cross Digivolutions, known as Fanglongmon, are formed by merging the Four Divine Beast Digimon: Azulongmon, Byakkomon, Ebonwumon, and Zhuqiaomon. This divine dragon ruler is rumored to have once controlled the world, but was subdued when powerful Archangels (headed by an unnamed early form of Magna Angemon, Ophanimon, and Rasielmon) arrived, sealed it deep within the Digital World, and scattered its power across the four cardinal directions. This was achieved by dividing its core essence and scattering it far and wide.

Upon collecting all the Divine Beasts, Azulongmon was once again followed by Fanglongmon’s return to the Digital World. Players have the opportunity to control its immense power in two different games: Digimon Masters Online and most recently, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth. Despite its formidable strength, Fanglongmon isn’t a reckless destroyer like some Virus-type Digimon, fortunately for the Digital World.

Alphamon Ooryuken

One Of The Most Powerful Royal Knights

  • Power Rank: SS
  • Type: VACCINE
  • Phase: Jogress

When Alphamon fuses with Oryumon, the latter transforms into the legendary Oryu Sword, also known as the Ultimate Battle Sword. This sword is unparalleled in the Digital World, capable of slicing through any Digimon’s data, regardless of their defenses. Alphamon Oryuken, a product of Jogress Evolution, is one of the most powerful members among the Royal Knights, a distinguished group of Digimon. In the storyline, only one Alphamon Oryuken exists, claiming the throne from its predecessor Alphamon after a Cross Evolution with Oryumon.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but feel the thrill when I wield the colossal power of the Dark Knight, especially during my gaming sessions in DMO. The Ultimate Blade technique at my disposal is simply indescribable, slicing through anything that dares to cross its path. And let me tell you, Alphamon Ooryuken never fails to make an impact in the mangas and anime series he graces with his presence. Every time he steps onto the battlefield, it’s like witnessing raw power personified – an unforgettable experience that leaves a lasting impression on all who bear witness.

Gallantmon X

The Most Powerful Version Of Dukemon

  • Power Rank: S++
  • Type: VIRUS
  • Phase: Burst Mode (Special)

Accompanying Magnamon, Examon, Omnimon, and several others, Gallantmon X is part of an esteemed group called the Royal Knights – legendary guardians within the Digital World. This specific incarnation of Gallantmon (also known as Dukemon) has been fortified with Antibody X, making his shield exceptionally robust. Furthermore, his Digizoid Spear has been transformed into a lethal plasma burst of spikes.

This Digimon’s armor is crafted from Chronodigizoid, a blend of the purest and toughest metals in the Digital World, making it virtually indestructible. Gallantmon X isn’t just about defense, but his Lightning Joust move strikes through anything with Gallantmon’s spear (Gram), turning any defiant evil Digimon into vapor. The strongest form of Gallantmon is found in Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, and it’s one of the hardest to obtain.

Imperialdramon Paladin Mode

If King Arthur Was A Digimon, It Would Be This One

  • Power Rank: S+
  • Type: VACCINE
  • Phase: Burst Mode

While many are familiar with Imperialdramon Fighter Mode from Digimon Adventure 2, fewer know about its advanced form, Imperialdramon Paladin Mode. This formidable Digimon surpasses the Mega level and is influenced by its pride and courageous spirit.

Imperialdramon PM draws inspiration from King Arthur, and as a member of the Royal Knights, it carries an inheritance of Omnimon’s great Omega Blade, which was once wielded by the fallen hero.

The mighty weapon, a legacy and symbol of power passed down from the renowned Holy Knight, endows Imperialdramon Paladin Mode with exceptional combat skills, speed, and the ability to wield the Holy attribute against evil. Some enthusiasts speculate about a darkened version of Imperialdramon Paladin Mode, supposedly inheriting the Dark Omni Blade from Omnimon Zwart (Black Omnimon). If reasoning is any guide, this shadowy form could be inspired by Mordred. However, as of now, neither this mysterious creature nor its darkened abilities have been displayed in any game or anime. The closest resemblance players can find in a game is the corrupted version of the original Imperialdramon FM, known as Imperialdramon Fighter Mode (Black), from the Virus Dark-attribute.

Apocalymon

The Destroyer of the Digital World

  • Power Rank: S+
  • Type: VIRUS
  • Phase: Jogress

In the Digital World, Apocalymon stands out as the ultimate antagonist, a being formed by merging the Four Dark Masters – Piedmon, Puppetmon, Machinedramon, and MetalSeadramon. This entity of unrelenting devastation conceals its real form within a fortress-like dodecahedron, built from tainted Black Digizoids. It launches attacks using the collected energies from the corrupted data it obliterates and gathers, stored inside its mobile stronghold. However, its true appearance is that of a menacing creature disguised as a humanoid, perched atop one of the protective plates on its body that resembles armor.

This Digital Monster, known as Apocalymon, possesses an immensely destructive ability called Darkness-Zone. Typically, it employs this move within a vacuum formed by a barrier, reducing its force and annihilating individual adversaries who defy this domineering Digimon. In various Digimon games, including the second season of Digimon Adventure, Apocalymon served as the final Boss. However, intriguingly, the opportunity to make Apocalymon an ally only arose in DMO, a platform that has since been shut down, making it impossible to acquire it today.
