This incident led Doflamingo to develop a deep-seated hatred towards the world and everyone in it. As a result of losing faith in humanity, he transformed into a ruthless psychopath who sought chaos and disorder at every turn. Furthermore, Doflamingo has been known to deliver speeches forecasting the impending outbreak of another devastating war, which he seems to welcome with open arms due to his bleak outlook on life, almost as if he’s eagerly anticipating its destruction.

Right from the get-go, it’s plain that Kaido is a character who has given up on the world, shown by his attempt to jump off a floating island to take his own life. Despite being among the most powerful and intimidating pirates in existence, Kaido doesn’t employ his strength for altruistic purposes or as part of his personal dreams. Instead, he seems to regard his power as a burden, turning to alcohol to ease his pain as he maintains a tyrannical grip over Wano.

Kaido views the world as nothing more than a stone to be shattered and dominated, and it appears that he doesn’t have grand ambitions he strives for. Instead, he’s an imposing giant who finds little pleasure in life, and thus, he’s prepared to crush anyone who dares oppose him or criticize him.

A smoker is a character who often finds faults instead of appreciating the positive aspects of a situation. While chasing Luffy and other pirates, his expression is usually one of annoyance rather than excitement at discovering a new target. Even when the pirates accomplish something commendable, like defeating Crocodile, he remains skeptical towards the Marines and their underhanded methods.

In a unique predicament, he finds himself observing the flaws from both perspectives, yet being a marine leaves him as a character prone to mood swings and self-doubt. However, Tashigi is there to try and boost his spirits when he’s feeling low, but it seems Smoker may never be able to completely rid himself of this characteristic trait.

In other words, victory for him often comes when he demonstrates an overwhelming amount of negative emotions, as seen in his fights with Perona and Sugar. For instance, during his duel with Sugar, Usopp, known for his lack of confidence, managed to win by adopting a particularly frightening expression. Despite his pessimistic outlook on life, he is fortunate to have supportive friends who encourage him when he starts to question himself.
