Most Violent One Piece Pirate Crews Ranked by Ruthlessness

Summary

  • The Donquixote and Caribou Pirates are extremely violent, engaging in illegal activities and violent crimes.
  • The Kid and Blackbeard Pirates are ruthless, resorting to violence to achieve their goals.
  • The Big Mom and Beast Pirates are cruel crews, wreaking havoc and bringing suffering to innocent citizens.

In the realm of “One Piece,” individuals from various age groups choose to embark on the pirate’s life for diverse motives. Some yearn for unparalleled adventures, like the Straw Hat crew, while others seek wealth and recognition, akin to the Buggy Pirates. Yet others are drawn by the desire to find meaning and camaraderie, mirroring the Whitebeard Pirates’ pursuit of purpose and brotherhood.

Delving into the world of piracy, I’ve always been fascinated by the ruthless crews who made a name for themselves through sheer brutality. Unlike some, who see violence as a last resort, these pirates embraced it wholeheartedly, striking fear into the hearts of both enemies and innocents alike. Here, we focus on the most violent pirate crews, ranked by the bounty placed on their captains – a testament to the carnage they’ve wrought.

7. Donquixote Pirates

A Ruthless Crime Syndicate

  • Captain: Donquixote Doflamingo
  • Captain Bounty: 340,000,000 Belly
  • First Appearance: Episode 151

The pirate gang called Donquixote is headed by Donquixote Doflamingo, once a noble with a ruthless reputation. Formerly one of the Sea’s Seven Warriors, his bounty remains at 340 million Belly due to this status. Moreover, they have controlled the Kingdom of Dressrosa for over ten years.

Instead of typical pirates as one might imagine, the Donquixote Pirates function more like a criminal syndicate. Just like many ruthless sea-robbers, they began by looting ships and pillaging villages. However, upon seizing control over Dressrosa, they transformed this tranquil kingdom into a hub for their illicit arms trade and artificial devil fruit market. The multitude of innocents harmed, slain, or oppressed under their rule may well number in the thousands. Given all the heinous acts attributed to Doflamingo, his bounty seems undervalued. Regrettably, he benefits from the shield of the World Government.

6. Caribou Pirates

An Extremely Violent Rookie

  • Captain: “Wet-Haired” Caribou and “Blood-Splatterer” Coribou
  • Captain Bounty: 210,000,000 Belly and 190,000,000 Belly
  • First Appearance: Episode 519

The Caribou Brothers, also known as the Pirates of the Caribou Crew, are among the highly skilled newcomers who arrive at Sabaody Archipelago following the Marineford War. This crew is jointly led by the “Wet-Haired” Caribou and the “Blood-Splatterer” Coribou. Although their individual bounties are less than Doflamingo’s, since both are considered captains, the combined value of their rewards surpasses that of Doflamingo.

Compared to Luffy and Zoro when they first arrived at Sabaody Archipelago years ago, the wealth on the heads of the Caribou brothers is significantly greater. This is largely due to the fact that they are notably more violent than the Straw Hat Pirates. Their actions include raiding, looting, plundering, killing, kidnapping, and committing various acts of violence. As a result, their bounties have risen at an extraordinary rate.

5. Kid Pirates

Spreading Death & Destruction Everywhere They Go

  • Captain: Eustass Kid
  • Captain Bounty: 3,000,000,000 Belly
  • First Appearance: Episode 392

Initially, the Crew of Kid Pirates arrived at the Sabaody Island Chain coincidentally with the Straw Hat group and other rising pirate stars, commonly referred to as the Eleven Supernovas. Subsequently, Captain Kid played a role in thwarting Big Mom, one of the Sea’s Four Emperors, which earned him a bounty equal to Luffy’s.

Or, more concisely:

The Kid Pirates and Straw Hats, along with other significant new pirate teams (the Eleven Supernovas), all reached Sabaody Archipelago concurrently. Later on, Captain Kid contributed to Big Mom’s defeat, resulting in a bounty comparable to Luffy’s.

Among the eleven supernovas present at Sabaody Archipelago, Captain Kidd had the highest bounty due to reasons similar to Caribou. Both are notorious for their extreme violence. They consistently leave wreckage and devastation in their wake. This is why the World Government set such a substantial reward on his head.

4. Blackbeard Pirates

Brutal, Barbaric, And Extremely Bloodthirsty

  • Captain: Marshall D. Teach
  • Captain Bounty: 3,996,000,000 Belly
  • First Appearance: Episode 151

Currently, the Blackbeard Pirates pose the most significant danger to global peace. Originally a member of the 2nd Division within the Whitebeard Pirates, their captain, Edward Teach (also known as Marshall D. Teach), eventually turned his back on his former allies. He betrayed the Whitebeard Pirates and established his own crew – the Blackbeard Pirates. Shortly after this betrayal, he ascended to become one of the Seven Warriors of the Sea. During the Marineford War, he relinquished his warlord position, but later reemerged as one of the Four Sea Emperors.

Blackbeard is a man who doesn’t shy away from violence to accomplish his objectives. From backstabbing his fellow sailors to taking the lives of innocent people, he’s willing to go to extreme lengths to fulfill his desires. With his crew now comprised solely of dangerous and bloodthirsty convicts from the very bottom tiers of Impel Down prison, the Blackbeard pirates have grown even more merciless and brutal.

3. Big Mom Pirates

A Family Of Violent Pirates

  • Captain: Charlotte Linlin
  • Captain Bounty: 4,388,000,000 Belly
  • First Appearance: Episode 570

If the Donquixote Pirates operate like a criminal syndicate, the Big Mom Pirates might be considered more of a family enterprise. This is because all senior-level members within the Big Mom Pirates are children of their captain, Charlotte Linlin, or Big Mom. For many years, she was one of the Four Emperors of the Sea until Eustass Kid and Trafalgar Law teamed up to defeat her in Wano Country.

Big Mom often acts on impulse, showing signs of both calm rationality and uncontrollable fury. At times, she appears to be a person who can be reasoned with; however, in an instant, she transforms into a destructive force, capable of harming even her own child. She seems to view human life as trivial, much like her children and crew members emulate their impulsive captain’s behavior.

2. Beast Pirates

A Cruel Pirate Crew That Brings Suffering To Innocent Citizens

  • Captain: Kaidou
  • Captain Bounty: 4,611,100,000 Belly
  • First Appearance: Episode 513

As a fervent admirer, I can’t help but be captivated by the formidable Beast Pirates, who are masterfully commanded by one of the Sea’s Four Titans, the fearsome “Thousand Beasts” Kaidou. This crew is unique, as it consists primarily of users of the enigmatic Devil Fruits. The high-ranking officers, including our captain, wield the extraordinary power of Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruits, while the countless foot soldiers have ingested artificial Devil Fruits. It’s the sheer might of this arsenal that has allowed the Beast Pirates to control the Wano Country for an astonishing twenty years!

In the land of Wano, I’ve witnessed firsthand the oppressive reign of Kaidou. It’s not just a matter of ruling with an iron fist; his rule is a merciless, unrelenting tyranny. Forced labor and senseless killings are common practices under Kaidou’s command, and the Beasts Pirates who follow him seem to revel in inflicting atrocities upon the Wano citizens. Everyday life for these innocents is a struggle against violence and pain. Such is the true nature of the cruelty and danger that lies within the ranks of the Beast Pirates.

1. Rocks Pirates

Home To Vicious Pirate Legends

  • Captain: Rocks D. Xebec
  • Captain Bounty: Unknown
  • First Appearance: Episode 958

The infamous Rocks Pirates were a group of pirates known for their dominance over the seas long before our story begins. Led by the fearsome captain, Rocks D. Xebec, this crew included well-known pirates like Kaido, Big Mom, Shiki the Golden Lion, and even Whitebeard. It required the joint forces of Gol D. Roger and Monkey D. Garp to defeat Rocks D. Xebec. After their captain’s demise, the Rocks Pirates broke apart, with each member going on to establish their own legendary pirate crews.

The Rocks Pirate crew were widely known, not just for the exceptional skills they wielded, but also for the horrific acts of brutality they perpetrated across the globe. They seemed to have no bounds when it came to violence and cruelty.

During the notorious reign of Rocks Pirates, the World Government worked tirelessly to expunge any trace of this infamous pirate gang from historical records. As a result, the precise reward for capturing Rocks D. Xebec’s head remains unknown. However, given that many of his subordinates rose to become Billion-Belly pirates, it can be reasonably inferred that Rocks’ bounty was significantly greater than what his former crewmates received.
