MPC-25 Kicked Out of CDL by Pro Players After Brief Appearance

As a Call of Duty League fan, I’m really frustrated right now. There’s a ton of discussion about a recent Game Adjustment (GA) that basically shut down the MPC-25 SMG. It was only being used for a short time – Skyz was a big example – and now suddenly all the pros seem to have dropped it right before Major I. It feels really strange and a lot of us are questioning the timing of this GA.

This change is shifting the competitive Call of Duty League (CDL) back to a limited selection of just two effective weapons—the Dravec and M15. Fans are frustrated by this lack of variety, especially with the first major tournament of the season approaching.

MPC-25 is Gone From the CDL

The MPC-25 controller didn’t last long in the Call of Duty League, the highest level of competitive Call of Duty. It was only used for a few hours before players agreed to stop using it and switch to a different controller.

This has led League of Legends fans to express their anger online, criticizing professional players they see as overly controlling and unwilling to accept any challenges to the established system.

ACHES, a well-known former professional player, commented on Slasher’s retirement, saying the game developers immediately removed the only weapon used on two specific maps. He felt this marked the end of an era for veteran players.

Sam ‘Octane’ Larew, one of the more recent retirees from the Call of Duty League, wrote:

Today’s professional Call of Duty players seem unusually quick to complain. Back in Black Ops 3, they were exploiting the M8 weapon, so it’s a bit hypocritical.

Many users have noted that the MPC-25 performs poorly at ranges under 10 meters, which is a major factor in its current low usage. Others believe it’s simply not as effective as the currently popular options and shouldn’t have been updated.

One Call of Duty League (CDL) fan commented that the MPC submachine gun is significantly weaker at longer ranges, easily beaten by weapons like the Dravec and M15. They believe using it is risky, but it performs well in close-quarters combat, which is a fair trade-off. The fan also expressed frustration with the current meta, stating that Black Ops 7 might be the last truly enjoyable Call of Duty game for a long time, and they feel the potential is being wasted.
