MultiVersus’ DC Death Metal Skins Should Be The Tip of The Iceberg

MultiVersus' DC Death Metal Skins Should Be The Tip of The Iceberg

As a lifelong fan of both DC Comics and video games, I can wholeheartedly say that MultiVersus has truly outdone itself with its latest skins inspired by the Dark Nights: Death Metal comic series. Growing up reading these iconic stories, it’s fascinating to see them brought to life in a new way through these unique character variants.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve dived headfirst into the thrilling world of MultiVersus! This action-packed brawler has gathered an impressive array of iconic characters from different Warner Bros. IP, such as Shaggy from Scooby-Doo and the fresh addition of the Powerpuff Girls. The ever-expanding roster in MultiVersus keeps growing, offering a wealth of diverse variants. And let me tell you, they’ve really outdone themselves with the latest skins – they’re some of the best I’ve seen in any game!

A game resembling “Super Smash Bros.” featuring Warner Bros. properties wouldn’t be fully fleshed out without the addition of iconic DC Comics characters such as Joker and Batman, who greatly enhance the diverse cast in “MultiVersus”. Remarkably, the recent skins for “MultiVersus”‘ DC characters have demonstrated a wealth of creative options for the game’s character selection. Taking cues from the distinctive appearances found in the DC Comics’ “Dark Nights: Death Metal” comic series could potentially enhance “MultiVersus”‘ strategy for new skins.

MultiVersus’ Dark Nights: Death Metal Skins Bring Something Special to the Game

A Popular Comic Series Brings a Metal-Inspired Edge to MultiVersus

The Dark Nights: Death Metal comic book series explores an alternate world that’s been overtaken by the Batman Who Laughs, plunging it into eternal darkness. Characters like Batman, Joker, Wonder Woman, and Superman in this series have been significantly influenced by this narrative, and they now boast some of the most distinctive skin variations yet. Each character offers a fresh take, much like the variants found in MultiVersus. The Dark Nights: Death Metal variants essentially transform DC icons into near-new characters, at least in appearance. In the future, MultiVersus might consider exploring similar story arcs from its various intellectual properties to create the most thrilling skin options for players.

  • The Batman Who Laughs
  • Quintessence Diana
  • Dark Nights: Death Metal Batman
  • Anti-Life Superman
  • Earth-0 Harley Quinn

In this game MultiVersus, these five distinct character appearances provide a striking contrast, particularly for Joker and Superman. Previously, the game has dabbled with vibrant costumes, but the looks inspired by Dark Nights: Death Metal comics offer an advantage as they are directly based on DC’s original source material. Playful skins such as Summer Vacay Arya and Frankenstein Iron Giant add a touch of fun to these characters, but using storylines and arcs from the actual franchise could potentially keep players invested in the game for longer periods.

comic arc ran from June 2020 until January 2021.

With Season 3 of MultiVersus now in full swing, we’re seeing even more characters join the game. It’s great news that the Powerpuff Girls have been added, hinting that MultiVersus might continue adopting the character skins from the Dark Nights: Death Metal comic series.

MultiVersus Continuing Its Trend of Unique Character Skins

The long-awaited introduction of the Powerpuff Girls has occurred, and their Rowdyruff Boys duplicate continues our progression. Unlike characters from Dark Nights: Death Metal, who come from different universes, the Rowdyruff Boys maintain a similar atmosphere. As darker counterparts to the Powerpuff Girls, the Rowdyruff Bots and the Dark Nights: Death Metal skins provide unique angles inspired by their specific stories. Regrettably, in the game MultiVersus, not every character possesses a distinct counterpart like the DC heroes or the Powerpuff Girls do.

As a die-hard fan, it’s become evident that MultiVersus is brimming with potential, shining a light on a myriad of captivating character variations. The Dark Nights: Death Metal skins might just be the beginning, especially for their DC characters. With countless alternate realities housing unique versions of both heroes and villains, MultiVersus seems to be sitting on an untapped vein of future content. While it’s disappointing if other characters won’t receive the same Dark Nights: Death Metal treatment, there’s no shortage of DC stories that can provide a rich source of inspiration instead.
