Recently, Anime! Anime! interviewed several members of the team behind My Dress-Up Darling. They talked about making the second season, including the size of the production crew, how they developed the story, and other details about the process.

The interviewer also briefly learned about the potential for a third season. Here’s what Shota Umehara, from the production team, shared:

Everything is starting from scratch right now, but I’m planning to redo it all once all the pieces are ready. I really believe quality is key – you just can’t rush animation. I also want to thank everyone for watching and their support. – Shota Umehara

While fans might be upset, a third season of the anime featuring Marin and Wakana isn’t out of the question. It seems the possibility is still open, but the creators need to first assess how much interest there is and secure the necessary funding before moving forward.

While this doesn’t guarantee another season of My Dress-Up Darling, it suggests that if season two gets more attention and the manga gains popularity, a third season is a real possibility.
