My First Gran Turismo launching for PS4 and PS5 on December 6th

As a gamer who has spent countless hours navigating virtual race tracks and honing my driving skills over the past three decades, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement at the announcement of My First Gran Turismo. Growing up with the original Gran Turismo on PlayStation, it played a significant role in fueling my passion for racing games, and now, seeing this new iteration designed to introduce a whole new generation to the joy of driving is truly heartwarming.

Sony’s PlayStation is launching “My First Gran Turismo,” a gratis racing game in honor of its 30th anniversary, available starting from December 6th.

Kazunori Yamauchi, President of Polyphony Digital and creator of Gran Turismo, shared his excitement about “My First Gran Turismo” on the Official PlayStation Blog. This unique, free-to-play game offers an opportunity for everyone to explore the thrilling realm of motorsports. It holds a personal significance as it recalls the roots of the original Gran Turismo, where players from various generations found delight in driving. Whether it’s sparking the enthusiasm for racing in young minds or rekindling a dormant love for driving in experienced players.

Yamauchi mentions that it was designed to be accessible yet captivating, catering to all ages and driving abilities without any restrictions.

By playing, users will gradually gain confidence, taking on new challenges that will progressively enhance their driving abilities.

In addition, my first edition of Gran Turismo will be compatible with PlayStation VR2 (on the PS5), as confirmed by Yamauchi: “Moreover, my first Gran Turismo offers complete support for PlayStation VR2, enabling you to delve into an unprecedented level of driving authenticity and intensely engaging gameplay.

Some of the features are:
