In the world of My Hero Academia, Pro Heroes are essential figures. They both serve and protect the public from villains. Each hero has different skills and limitations, meaning some excel at support roles while others are better at facing danger head-on. What really sets a hero apart, though, is a powerful and distinctive ultimate move.
Every hero works hard to improve their unique ability, learning new ways to use it and building a range of skills. For many, the ultimate goal is to create a powerful, signature move that demonstrates complete control over their ability. Here are some of the most impressive ultimate moves from professional heroes.
Mt. Lady — Canyon Cannon
Mt. Lady’s ability to grow to a giant size makes her very noticeable. While many characters in the series have complex powers, Mt. Lady’s ability is simple, and her most powerful attack is equally direct.
Canyon Cannon isn’t pretty, but it’s effective. Mt. Lady uses her Gigantification to grow huge and deliver a powerful flying kick. It’s a straightforward attack, but definitely one you’d want to avoid.
Edgeshot — Thousand Sheet Pierce
I’m a huge fan of Edgeshot! His Foldabody quirk is seriously amazing – it lets him excel in close combat, and we’ve seen him consistently prove he’s a skilled fighter throughout the series. He’s got a few powerful ultimate moves, but honestly, nothing compares to his Thousand Sheet Pierce. It’s just devastating!
Edgeshot’s ability lets him stretch and reshape his body into incredibly thin, string-like forms. He uses these to attack opponents, quickly knocking them unconscious. This technique is effective against groups, but it’s also versatile – as demonstrated when Edgeshot used his Zenith ability to heal Bakugo during the Final War.
Mirko — Luna Tijeras
Mirko has demonstrated many powerful special moves in My Hero Academia. Though they’re all useful, Luna Tijeras is likely her most devastating attack.
Mirko’s Luna Tijeras is a direct and brutal attack, like many of her finishing moves. She leaps onto an opponent using her Rabbit quirk, secures their head with her legs, and then powerfully twists to tear it off, slamming the body into the ground. It’s an extremely effective and destructive technique, as demonstrated when she defeated a High-End Nomu with it.
Hawks — Soundwave Vibration-Enhanced Flight Feather Blade
Even the most powerful heroes sometimes need assistance. We saw a great example of this during the Final War when Hawks combined his Fierce Wings quirk with Jiro’s powerful Legato ultimate move, creating an incredible combination.
Hawks amplifies his katana attacks by channeling Jiro’s soundwaves, making his swings much more powerful. He successfully used this technique against All For One, relentlessly striking the villain’s helmet until it cracked and broke.
Star and Stripe — State-of-the-Art Hypersonic Intercontinental Cruise Punch
Although Star and Stripe appeared briefly in the series, she quickly established herself as one of the most powerful and courageous heroes. Her Quirk, New Order, is arguably the strongest in My Hero Academia, so it’s fitting that her ultimate technique is incredibly devastating.
Her incredibly advanced hypersonic cruise missile attack utilizes cutting-edge Tiamat missiles. She uses a powerful ground-pound to seize the missiles and, using her unique ability, redirects them to collide and create a huge explosion. This attack nearly defeated Shigaraki, and while it caused significant damage, his quick reaction prevented a fatal injury.
Endeavor — Prominence Burn
Okay, so Endeavor is a complicated hero – people have a lot of feelings about him. But you absolutely can’t deny how powerful he is. He’s got a bunch of strong attacks, but his Prominence Burn? That one’s on another level entirely.
Endeavor’s technique is simple but incredibly powerful: he overloads his Hellflame ability to unleash a huge blast of fire that can instantly vaporize enemies. He usually reserves this attack for desperate situations, as it’s strong enough to defeat nearly any villain.
All Might — United States of Smash
All Might is widely considered the greatest hero of all time, and his career was filled with incredible achievements. He had a huge range of powerful attacks, easily defeating many villains. However, his most famous and devastating move was undoubtedly the United States of Smash.
This attack is essentially a simple punch, but it’s incredibly powerful because All Might channels all of his One For All energy into it. The impact is devastating, causing significant damage to the environment and usually knocking villains unconscious. It’s a knockout blow for most opponents.
