As a longtime fan of anime and manga, I must admit that the news about My Hero Academia’s final season airing in fall 2025 has left me both excited and disheartened. While it is fantastic to know that we will get to see more of our beloved characters, the wait seems unbearably long.

The popular manga series “My Hero Academia” concluded earlier this year, leaving only one more season for its anime adaptation. Many fans find it hard to accept that the show they love is nearing its conclusion. This seventh season of “My Hero Academia” was exceptional, and it was subsequently announced that the eighth and final season of the anime is on the way. The makers have confirmed that the last season will air in 2025, but they haven’t specified a release window yet.

On December 19th, it was revealed that My Hero Academia Season 8 is scheduled to air in autumn of 2025. That means fans will need to be patient before they can catch up with Midoriya and his companions on their adventures again. If My Hero Academia were to air at the same time, it could overshadow these other promising shows due to its popularity.

Another reason for this decision is to provide the dedicated team at Bones with a well-earned break, as they put in countless hours to produce exceptional episodes. Given their tireless efforts, it’s only fair that they get some downtime. Consequently, releasing the last season during the last quarter of the year seems more beneficial overall.

In the last season of My Hero Academia, we’ll have the original cast members back to voice their characters once more. Additionally, the team behind the scenes remains the same as well.

My Hero Academia Is Embroiled In Controversy

Originally, the ending of My Hero Academia’s manga was as it was written in the last chapter. Although this ending had mixed reactions, it didn’t generate widespread dislike. However, when the final volume came out, Horikoshi added approximately 30 additional pages to enrich the original conclusion.

Fans took issue with the way the story’s conclusion was written by author Horikoshi Kohei, and as a result, many of them collectively blocked his account (previously on Twitter). They expressed their dissatisfaction with how the ending unfolded. Yet, they acknowledged that it is now final and cannot be changed in any way.
