My Hero Academia Final Season Teaser Revealed

As a seasoned anime enthusiast who has been following the journey of My Hero Academia since its early days, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and nostalgia upon hearing that the final season is set to air in 2025. It’s hard to believe that we’re coming up on the end of this epic saga that has captivated millions worldwide.


On Saturday, following the conclusion of season 7, a sneak peek was unveiled on the TOHO Animation YouTube channel, hinting that the eighth and concluding season of “My Hero Academia” is planned to air in 2025. This teaser emerged after an official announcement confirmed not only the series’ eighth season but also the team responsible for its production.

A fresh new key image was unveiled too, showing Izuku “Deku” Midoriya looking beaten up and his costume torn from the intense clash against Tomura Shigaraki. The upcoming Season 8 will wrap up the anime adaptation of the final storyline from Kōhei Horikoshi’s manga, which concluded in August after a decade-long run. In addition to announcing the 2025 air date, the teaser for the final season of My Hero Academia also unveiled some key personnel involved in its production. Among them are Kenji Nagasaki, who has been a director since the first season and took over as chief director from season 4; Naomi Nakayama, another director; Yōsuke Kuroda handling series composition; character designs by both Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima; music composition by Yuki Hayashi; and, of course, Studio Bones handling the animation production.

The cast includes Daiki Yamashita as Deku, Kenta Miyake as All Might, Kōki Uchiyama as Tomura Shigaraki, Akio Otsuka & Hiroshi Kamiya as All For One, Ayane Sakura as Ochaco Uraraka, Kaito Ishikawa as Tenya Iida and Yuki Kaji as Todoroki Shōto. At the time of writing, no exact premiere date has been revealed. The scheduled 2025 broadcast of the final season of My Hero Academia means that the anime will be wrapping up within a year after the end of the manga.

It has sold more than 100 million copies globally, placing it among the most popular manga series ever created, and is one of the top manga that has significantly influenced its generation, carrying the torch from Shōnen Jump’s esteemed trio of legendary mangas.

Starting from April 2016, Studio Bones has been airing the anime series “My Hero Academia” annually, with multiple seasons having been released so far. This popular franchise has also produced several movies, including the latest one titled “My Hero Academia: You’re Next“, which premiered in Japanese theaters in August and is now being shown internationally. The final season of “My Hero Academia”, the 8th one, is scheduled for broadcast in 2025, marking the culmination of the battle between the holders of All For One and One For All.
