This article contains spoilers from My Hero Academia.
The manga series *My Hero Academia* has finished, and the anime is currently showing its final episodes. Although the story of Izuku Midoriya and his classmates has reached its conclusion, fans know they all become successful Pro Heroes, meaning their adventures continue even after the series ends.
Although the majority of heroes received satisfying conclusions to their stories, many fans felt Izuku Midoriya’s ending wasn’t quite what they hoped for. A major point of contention was when Izuku lost his One For All Quirk. While the author, Kohei Horikoshi, did give him a replacement – a powerful hero suit – fans remained curious about his strength as a fully-fledged hero. Now, through a series of short stories, Horikoshi has revealed that Izuku Midoriya remains one of the top five strongest heroes in Japan.
Izuku Midoriya Is Still One Of The 5 Strongest Pro Heroes
Izuku Midoriya Is Currently The No. 4 Hero

- Izuku likely has even higher strength
- Horikoshi confirmed his armor mimics One For All
Izuku Midoriya spent around six years unable to pursue his dream of becoming a Pro Hero, unlike many of his peers. But everything changed when his friends gifted him a special Hero Armor. With the armor, Izuku regained his abilities and once again became a powerful Pro Hero.
This is the story of how we all become the greatest Heroes! — Izuku Midoriya
Horikoshi has already given us a sense of just how powerful Izuku Midoriya has become as a Pro Hero. He’s stated that Midoriya’s current armor is actually more durable than the one All Might used during his fight with All For One, essentially making him incredibly resilient and difficult to defeat while wearing it.
As a huge fan, I’ve been following the details about Deku’s new suit, and it’s *amazing*! Horikoshi himself has said that Deku’s core power level hasn’t really changed. The Hero Armor isn’t about giving him *new* power, but letting him effectively *copy* the abilities of all the previous One For All users. That means he still has access to that incredible explosive strength and speed we all love! But it gets even better – Horikoshi also confirmed the armor lets Deku tap into the unique powers of *all* the past users, the vestiges! And the coolest part? He can actually *combine* those powers, just like he’s been learning to do with One For All itself. It’s such a clever way to expand his abilities!
You can become a Hero! — Izuku to the next generation
Izuku Could Still Become The Strongest Hero
His Powers Are Comparable To Bakugo’s

Watching Izuku Midoriya as a Pro Hero, it’s clear he’s a top-tier fighter – easily in the top five strongest in the world of *My Hero Academia*. He’s officially ranked as the Number 4 Hero right now, but I honestly think he might be even more powerful than that. If his new Armor ability perfectly copies One For All, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say he’s the strongest hero currently active, which is incredible considering he started with no Quirk at all.
The *My Hero Academia* manga finished its run after 431 chapters, and you can read them all on Manga Plus. The anime adaptation is still ongoing and its final season is expected to premiere later this year. You can stream the series on Crunchyroll.
