In the captivating world of “My Hero Academia,” my personal favorite heroic run has to be All Might’s! As his powers flourished, he single-handedly vanquished the malevolent forces, ushering in an era of tranquility that was unprecedented. His dominance as the supreme superhero was so profound that even the world’s most formidable villains found themselves pondering over how to undermine All Might, the beacon of justice, before they could even hatch their wicked plans.

In the series “My Hero Academia”, it’s revealed that despite appearing invincible as the undefeated symbol of justice, All Might was always racing against time because he was seeking a worthy successor. Eventually, All Might ended his career with dignity, managing to pass on his powers and mantle while safeguarding those dear to him.

The Successor Search

How All Might Hoped to Protect His Legacy

Following his encounter with All For One at the onset of the storyline, All Might gradually lost strength. Aware that his days as a hero and emblem of tranquility were numbered, he dedicated himself to teaching at U.A. High School in order to find his eventual successor.

During his journey, All Might admired the determination of a young boy named Izuku Midoriya whom he later chose to inherit his quirk “one for all.” At this point, All Might was nearing the end of his hero career, and as the story unfolded, he would become increasingly weak. Yet, being the symbol of peace, it was crucial for him to remain prominent to prevent villains from gaining power until Izuku was fully prepared.

It’s fine now. Do you know why? Because I am here!

In this challenging scenario, he had to juggle multiple roles – defending against villains, instructing his pupils at school, and concealing his weakening strength, all within a restricted timeframe of transformation as the muscular form. Fortunately, Midoriya’s intense desire to assume All Might’s power proved crucial in numerous confrontations with villains.

I sincerely wish, All Might, that you are enjoying the moment of tranquility, for it may not last long; a storm is brewing and the peace we have now could be shattered by impending conflict.

In the end, All Might managed to maintain his honor despite overwhelming circumstances when he confronted All For One for a second time. He drew on the final remnants of his strength to vanquish the villain yet another time.

A World Without All Might

The Aftermath of All Might Stepping Down

After All Might stepped down, Endeavor ascended to become the top hero. Yet, this position didn’t bring him happiness because he had not earned it by overcoming All Might during his peak years.

Luck and deserving are not the same thing – luck happens randomly, but earning something comes from hard work. Always remember to distinguish between the two.” -All Might.

Even though no specific emblem of peace remained for villains to tremble at, All Might successfully ignited a fresh wave of heroism among the younger generation due to his final battle being broadcasted live and witnessed by multitudes. Although he had lost his powers, All Might was still in a powerful position to motivate and support these budding heroes as they confronted their own trials. As we approach the culmination of My Hero Academia in the manga, it is evident that All Might remains an integral part of the hero community. He can be seen collaborating with various heroes in the development of a revamped armored All Might suit, which aims to help Deku re-enter the hero world as a teacher and resume his heroic deeds once more.

My Hero Academia can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
