Mineta’s special ability is called Pop Off. To activate this ability, Mineta removes small, violet orbs from his scalp and hurls them at opponents, securing them in position. At the beginning of the story, Mineta was restricted in the number of orbs he could detach from his head. Extracting too many would lead to bleeding from his head.

Furthermore, Mineta possesses an immunity to the adhesive nature of these beads, allowing him to leap off them during combat, demonstrating his unique skill. Known as the “Pop Off Quirk,” this ability is useful for detaining villains who cause damage to property, making Mineta a valuable contributor in battle. However, it should be noted that Mineta can be timid and has an unconventional personality.

However, following Midnight’s death during the Paranormal Liberation War arc and witnessing Aoyama Yuga’s transformation into the UA Traitor, Mineta undergoes a noticeable character development.

In the Final War, Mineta, Ashido Mina, and Kirishima Eijiro are assigned to protect Gigantomachia’s enclosure, teaming up with Pro Hero Mt Lady. Previously, Mineta had worked as an intern under Mt. Lady during the Hero Killer arc, leading him to fear her. However, this fear subsides when Mineta decides to join forces with her against All For One.

Following the grueling battle between her master, Gigantomachia, and both All For One, Mineta expresses deep worry for her and Tokoyami’s well-being. However, when All For One hints at attempting to seize Dark Shadow from Tokoyami, Mineta surprisingly steps up to challenge him.
