My Hero Academia: Izuku Midoriya’s End of Series Power Level, Explained

This article contains spoilers from My Hero Academia.

After years of training and battling, the story of Deku and his journey to become a hero in My Hero Academia has come to an end. Now that All For One and Shigaraki Tomura have been defeated, the anime’s final season concludes, giving fans a clearer understanding of just how powerful Izuku Midoriya has become.

Deku is definitely one of the most powerful heroes in My Hero Academia, and many consider him the greatest of all time. He proved his incredible strength during the final battle against All For One and Tomura Shigaraki, showcasing a level of power never seen before. But now that he’s lost One For All at the end of the series, his abilities aren’t what they used to be.

Final War Deku Surpassed Prime All Might

Izuku Midoriya Is the New Symbol of Peace

  • Deku is the greatest hero of all time.
  • End of series Deku is stronger than Prime All Might.

Izuku Midoriya reached his strongest point during the Final War Arc, demonstrating the full extent of his power when facing intense challenges. He skillfully managed all of One For All’s quirks at once and channeled the incredible strength of every previous user, ultimately surpassing even All Might at his peak.

Deku’s strength wasn’t just recognized by All For One; the previous users of One For All also came to respect his skill in controlling it and how quickly he was developing as its final user. His growth was incredibly fast – unlike anything seen before – enabling him to react to and counter Tomura’s abilities instantly. He even surpassed Tomura’s powerful regeneration and showed the potential to defeat him with a single blow, proving Deku was now on a completely different level.

As Deku learned to appreciate the abilities of each previous user of One For All, he strengthened the quirk itself, which was essential for unlocking its full power during the final battle. In addition, Deku demonstrated exceptional battle strategy against Tomura, allowing him to evade deadly attacks and keep fighting even while struggling with the immense power of multiple quirk factors.

End of Series Deku Lost the Power of One For All

Deku Is Quirkless Again

To win against All For One and Tomura Shigaraki, Deku had to use up all of One For All, essentially destroying the villains from within. Although he succeeded in defeating All For One with a final, powerful blow, this left him without a quirk again, retaining only a tiny remnant of One For All. As a result, Deku at the end of the series isn’t as powerful as he was during the height of the final battle.

I’m telling you, even without One For All, Deku is not someone you want to mess with! It’s incredible to think that All Might, even before he had a quirk, managed to impress the young All For One with his sheer strength. I truly believe the same thing could happen with Deku – a strong villain might underestimate him at their own peril, and he’ll prove them wrong!

I definitely have moments where I feel like I’m failing and that things might not get better. But despite those feelings, I refuse to give up, no matter what!—Izuku Midoriya

Despite his current limitations, Deku hasn’t lost his fighting skills, reflexes, or the ability to control One For All’s complex power. These abilities are now part of who he is, separate from any quirk itself. It’s likely someone will soon create a suit for him that will allow him to use his powers to their full potential once again.

Pro-Hero Deku Remains a Top-Tier Hero

Armored Deku Is Ranked Four in Hero Billboard Chart

As a huge My Hero Academia fan, I was devastated when it seemed like Deku lost One For All during that epic battle with Shigaraki and All For One! But Kohei Horikoshi really came through with those extra chapters. It turns out All Might and the whole of Class 1-A built Deku this incredible mechanical armor! It’s basically given him a way to tap back into the power of all those Quirks from One For All, letting him get back into the fight. It’s such a clever way to bring him back and I can’t wait to see what he does with it!

We also learned that Deku is now the fourth-ranked hero, only one spot behind Bakugo! It’s unclear whether his ranking is based on his strength or how popular he is. Regardless, the fact that he’s fourth, even after losing his powers, shows the immense respect he’s gained from the public, his teachers, and other heroes.
