My Hero Academia: Kohei Horikoshi Officially Reveals 3 Heroes That Surpassed Pro Hero Izuku Midoriya

This article contains spoilers from My Hero Academia‘s Epilogue.

Even though My Hero Academia ended about a year ago, there continues to be strong interest in the series due to Horikoshi’s unwavering commitment to his fans. This year alone, he has released two one-shots, a fanbook, and an art book for the series, adding even more exciting content.

Undeniably, followers of “My Hero Academia” were treated to a wealth of thrilling material in the post-timeskip period, and it’s fair to say that fans adored every moment of it. What particularly grabbed everyone’s attention was Horikoshi unveiling Deku’s current position following the loss of his Quirk and acquisition of his Hero Armor. Even though it might seem hard to believe, three Pro Heroes still rank above Izuku Midoriya, despite his newfound powers.

Izuku Midoriya Is Behind 3 Pro Heroes After The Timeskip

Izuku Midoriya Is The No. 4 Hero In Japan Right Now

  • Mirio Tops The Hero Billboard Charts
  • Shoto Todoroki Is Second

At the conclusion of the series, Izuku Midoriya’s aspiration to become a Professional Hero was tragically dashed when he lost his Quirk during the fight against Shigaraki Tomura. To secure victory, Deku willingly relinquished his powers, and indeed, he made that sacrifice. Although he possessed the embers of One For All briefly, they soon faded, leaving him powerless. As his friends moved forward to become Professional Heroes, Izuku was unfortunately left in their wake.

You can become a Hero! — All Might to Izuku Midoriya

In a surprising turn of events, Class 1-A, led notably by Bakugo, crafted a potent Hero Suit for Deku, mirroring All Might’s armor from the Final War. This allowed Deku to reclaim his heroic role. Though he continues teaching at U.A., Deku has also become a Professional Hero. Over recent months, there’s been significant progress as he swiftly climbed the ranks, now standing as the No. 4 Hero in Japan without possessing a Quirk.

Three notable characters currently hold higher ranks than Deku:

1. Mirio Togata, who’s been reigning as the top hero for quite some time now, retains his No. 1 position with a stronghold. It seems he won’t relinquish this spot soon as he is ahead of Deku.

2. Shoto Todoroki, occupying the No. 2 rank, also surpasses Izuku Midoriya at present.

These paraphrased sentences maintain the original meaning while providing a more conversational and easier-to-understand tone.

It’s quite remarkable that currently, Mount Lady ranks third, demonstrating her significant growth and power accumulated over time. Indeed, Mount Lady is both mighty and awe-inspiring.

Izuku’s Ranking Will Continue To Increase

Izuku Only Recently Became A Pro Hero

In the anime series “My Hero Academia”, Izuku currently ranks fourth among Japan’s heroes. However, it’s important to remember that he’s only recently acquired his Hero Armor and his new powers. Considering how quickly he reached the fourth position, it’s quite remarkable. This rapid ascent suggests that Izuku is destined for even greater heights and will ultimately aspire to become the Number 1 Hero in Japan. Overthrowing Shoto and Mirio won’t be a simple feat for him, but they are the challenges he’s set for himself. His ambition is to carve out an exceptional legacy as the most distinguished hero Japan has ever known.
