Season 8 of My Hero Academia will be the last one, marking the end of the series. It started airing in October 2025 and quickly gained attention – even from people who don’t usually watch the show – thanks to its incredible animation. With only one episode left, fans are excitedly anticipating the anime’s conclusion.

The next episode of My Hero Academia Season 8, episode 11, is scheduled to come out on December 13, 2025. Before it airs, the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account has given fans a sneak peek with some preview images.

The first picture shows Midoriya smiling. It’s followed by a photo of Class 1-A with their teacher, Shota Aizawa. The next image features the pro-hero Hawks happily eating a skewer.

The preview images aren’t showing much, and that’s probably intentional – the anime doesn’t want to spoil anything, especially with this being the final episode of the season. Still, fans have a lot to look forward to, as this season has been amazing. We can expect Studio Bones to finish it off with a fantastic finale.

Bones Is Finding My Hero Academia Replacements

As the popular anime My Hero Academia nears its conclusion, the studio behind it, Bones, is looking for its next big hit. They’ve announced three upcoming projects slated for release in 2026: My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Season 2, Marriagetoxin, and Daemons of the Shadow Realm. While these series aren’t currently as well-known as My Hero Academia, a strong adaptation could help them gain a wider audience.

Daemons of the Shadow Realm looks promising. It’s inspired by a manga series of the same name, created by Hiromu Arakawa – the talented author best known for Fullmetal Alchemist. Given her skill, Daemons of the Shadow Realm has the potential to become very popular.

A New My Hero Academia Project Could Be Announced

After the current season of My Hero Academia ends, there’s a possibility we’ll get a new project, possibly an original anime created with the involvement of the series author, Kohei Horikoshi. A lot of fans are hoping for a prequel focusing on All Might’s younger years, as he’s a hugely popular character and a series about him would likely be very successful.
