As a longtime fan of manga and anime, I must say that the news about My Hero Academia— Team Up Missions coming to an end next year has left me both excited and nostalgic. Having followed the original series from its inception, I’ve grown attached to the characters and their world, and seeing them team up for various missions in this spin-off has been a delight.

My Hero Academia— Team Up is a spin-off comic book series, beautifully illustrated by Yoco Akiyama. It started appearing in the Summer 2019 Volume 2 issue of Shonen Jump GIGA, and its formal serialization commenced with the September issue of Saikyō Jump.

In about three years, the series “My Hero Academia – Team Up Missions” is wrapping up in the upcoming January 4, 2025 issue of Saikyō Jump. For those unfamiliar, this spin-off follows budding heroes as they join forces with established ones to complete various tasks. The catch? The team members are kept secret until the mission begins.

My Hero Academia’s Ending Had A Mixed Reception

In August 2024, I witnessed the conclusion of My Hero Academia manga. Most fans seemed satisfied with the ending at first, but later, Kohei Horikoshi added a 30-page epilogue that deepened the resolution. This epilogue revealed Izuku Midoriya ended up with Ochaco Uraraka, which didn’t align with many fans’ expectations for the characters. While it’s natural to have diverse opinions about such developments, posting disrespectful comments isn’t the solution. Unfortunately, some enthusiasts even chose to block the author’s official account in response.

Although there was some negative feedback, many fans were incredibly pleased with the ending, as demonstrated by the rapid sale of over a million copies of the final volume within a few weeks, according to recent reports on My Hero Academia.

My Hero Academia Will Have A Big 2025

  • My Hero Academia Vigilantes anime will be released in April 2025
  • My Hero Academia season 8 will air in Fall 2025

Although the manga has wrapped up its story, the anime series still has one season remaining. This final season, known as the eighth season, was officially confirmed at Jump Festa and is set to premiere in Fall 2025. Therefore, fans won’t have much longer to wait before witnessing the conclusion of the tale. Moreover, it will be intriguing to discover whether the anime adopts the extended ending or if there are any alterations made.

Fans of “My Hero Academia” can anticipate even more content, as it has been confirmed that a “My Hero Academia Vigilantes” anime will debut in April 2025. Similar to the original manga, “My Hero Academia Vigilantes” enjoys widespread popularity and has a dedicated fanbase eager for an animated version. Studio Bones is responsible for its production, ensuring viewers that the adaptation’s quality will be top-notch.
