This article contains spoilers from My Hero Academia Chapter 430.

The popular anime series “My Hero Academia” has come to an end, leaving viewers with numerous questions unanswered. It’s no surprise that this is the case, as many shows often conclude in a way that leaves room for speculation. However, despite the lingering mysteries, fans are appreciative of the well-crafted ending. Among the various open-ended aspects of the story, the hero rankings have become a hot topic among enthusiasts, sparking much discussion.

As a devoted fan of My Hero Academia, I’ve always found the hero rankings to be one of the most thrilling aspects of the series. From the very first episode, we learned that All Might was the top hero, and we got valuable insights into other heroes filling the remaining spots. After All Might retired, the focus shifted back to these hero positions. Now, with the conclusion of My Hero Academia, it’s clear that the author intended for us to pay closer attention to these hero rankings. Although fans might not have intricate rankings and explanations for our favorite characters, the author skillfully scattered clues throughout the story that help us piece together what those rankings could look like by the series end.

The New Top Hero In My Hero Academia Was Revealed To Be Mirio

Mirio Togata Successfully Became A Great Hero At The End Of The Story

In the finale of “My Hero Academia”, many viewers anticipated the author would disclose the identities of the top hero and those who followed in rank. Unfortunately, readers did not receive a detailed ranking as part of the narrative. However, it’s worth noting that the author did provide hints within the story. As previously mentioned, the author did explicitly reveal the identity of the top hero – none other than Mirio Togata, also known as Lemillion. Known for his immense power even during his U.A days, Mirio was once the closest to All Might among all heroes, including the Pro Heroes, a remarkable statement indeed. Fans got a taste of Mirio’s strength in “My Hero Academia” during the Shie Hassaikai arc and later in the Paranormal Liberation War Arc, where he reemerged at the forefront. Throughout the Final War Saga, Mirio remained active, and while his performance wasn’t the best, it was still impressive.

Togata-senpai skyrocketed to the top of the hero charts! – Deku

Since that moment, Mirio has continued to enhance his abilities significantly, earning him the rightful title of Top Hero. During the eight-year gap, each Hero made substantial progress, and Mirio is no exception. It’s safe to assume he’s put in countless hours perfecting his skills, placing him in a league of his own today. Given his dedication, it’s not surprising that he transformed what was once a problematic quirk into an almost invincible one. As a hardworking individual, the eight-year period offered Mirio ample time to further improve himself, and fans can anticipate him holding the top position for quite some time.

The Heroes Likely In The Top 5 Along With Mirio Togata

Mirio Isn’t The Only Bright Hero In The Country Right Now

Unfortunately, while it’s clear that Mirio is the top hero in My Hero Academia, the rankings beyond him are quite unclear. This leaves fans puzzled about who holds the second spot and so on. However, Horikoshi has dropped hints throughout the series, though they may be subtle or underdeveloped, suggesting potential candidates for the top five or even top ten heroes.

In their current situation, it can be observed, based on the interpretation of the chapter, that Kamui Woods and Mount Lady are prominent figures. Initially, these two characters may not have been the most powerful heroes before a certain time jump. However, eight years after this event, they seem to have significantly enhanced their abilities. Notably, at the start of My Hero Academia, they were regarded as rookies. Now, they’ve matured into seasoned heroes, stepping up to fill the void left by those who chose to retire.

Todoroki-kun will soon surpass Bakugo in the rankings. – Aizawa

From what we understand, it seems like Kamui Woods and Mount Lady could rank among the top five Heroes, possibly even taking the second and third spots. However, it’s important to remember that there are other well-known Heroes in My Hero Academia who are also part of the top five.

These are the likes of Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki. It is believed that Bakugo and Shoto are either neck and neck, or, Bakugo is ahead of Shoto at this point in time. However, Shoto is projected to surpass him soon enough in the hero rankings, because of his gentle demeanor and his incredible work ethic. These days, Shoto is hardly recognized as Endeavor’s son, which is absolutely brilliant for his character. This means that Bakugo and Shoto are likely in the 4th and 5th position respectively, but, they will likely switch places soon enough.

As a devoted fan, I can confidently say that it’s no secret among us that Monoma is one of the elite Heroes. His rapid climb through the ranks is reminiscent of a soaring flight, a testament to his skills. Given his unique Quirk and its versatility, this ascension feels more like an expected triumph than a surprise.

Where Will Iron Deku Fit In The Hero Rankings?

Among all characters, it’s the main character of the series, Deku, who has taken everyone by surprise in terms of hero rankings. It’s common knowledge that Deku acquired a new battle suit at the end of the story, and on the final page, he donned this suit to resume his role as a hero. In the near future, we can expect Deku to rapidly ascend the hero ranks. Yet, since he no longer possesses a Quirk, there’s uncertainty about just how powerful he really is.

Looking at how Armored All Might fared against All For One during their prime, it’s clear that Deku has the potential to reach the highest echelons. This is particularly true given that Deku’s version of the suit surpasses the one worn by All Might in his time.

Since then, technology has significantly advanced, placing whatever Deku is currently wearing in a completely different category compared to what All Might used to wear. It’s plausible that his suit mirrors the One For All and all its associated powers. Given this and Deku’s sharp intellect, it won’t be long before he’s ready to face off against Mirio, one of the Top Heroes.

As a dedicated manga enthusiast who has followed countless series over the years, I can confidently say that My Hero Academia is one of the most captivating and engaging stories I’ve ever encountered. Having grown up reading manga, I’ve come to appreciate the intricate plots, dynamic characters, and breathtaking artwork that make a great story stand out.
