On Monday, April 7th, Hideyuki Furuhashi and Betten Court’s spin-off manga titled “Illegals” (or “My Hero Academia: Vigilantes”) was released. This is exciting news for English-speaking fans because it was announced that the series will have a simultaneous English dub. Additionally, the series will be accessible in Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, and Italian.

The English voice actors for the show “My Hero Academia: Vigilantes” have been unveiled as well! In honor of the spin-off’s anime debut, the original series creator, Kohei Horikoshi, shared a unique artwork. This illustration celebrates the adaptation by depicting our main character from “Vigilantes,” Koichi Haimawari, adopting a pose reminiscent of the iconic Marvel Comics superhero, Spider-Man.

Voice Actors From the Original Series Reprise Their Roles For Episode 1

The anime adaptation of “My Hero Academia: Vigilantes” is produced by Bones Film, a subsidiary of Studio Bones. Kenichi Suzuki takes on the role of director, while Yōsuke Kuroda handles the scripts. Takahiko Yoshida designs the characters, art direction is led by Yukihiro Watanabe, photography direction is under Yingying Zhang, color design is done by Haruko Nobori and music is provided by Shōgo Yamashiro, Yūki Furuhashi, and Yuki Hayashi.

In the Japanese version of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, Shūichirō Umeda takes on the role of Koichi Haimawari, also known as ‘The Crawler’ with his unique ability ‘Slide ‘n’ Glide’. Ikumi Hasegawa portrays Kazuho Haneyama, who is known as ‘Pop☆Step’, possessing the power ‘Leap’. Lastly, Yasuhiro Mamiya plays Iwao Oguro, better known as ‘Knuckleduster’, whose quirk is ‘these hands’. In the English dub of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, these characters are voiced by different actors.
