My Time at Sandrock Adds Helpful New Multiplayer Feature

Summary

  • My Time at Sandrock now supports crossplay on Switch and PS5, expanding multiplayer options.
  • Sandrock Online emphasizes a sandbox experience with non-linear gameplay for up to 4 players.
  • Love Chronicles DLC enriched storylines and romance content for bachelors/bachelorettes in single-player mode.

As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for farming simulators and RPGs, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the latest updates to My Time at Sandrock! The addition of crossplay support on Switch and PS5 is like finding a freshly harvested, juicy crop in my digital farm. It’s a dream come true for those of us who enjoy playing these games with friends across different platforms.

The long-awaited crossplay multiplayer functionality is now accessible in the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 editions of “My Time at Sandrock”. Previously, this feature was available to gamers playing “My Time at Sandrock” on PC and Xbox Series X/S platforms as early as June.

On December 19th, the multiplayer version of “Sandrock Online,” which is part of Pathea Games’ tranquil farming simulator “My Time at Sandrock,” was made available on the Nintendo Switch. Originally planned to launch on the PS5 simultaneously, this release was postponed due to optimization needs. Earlier in the year, when “Sandrock Online” debuted on PC and contemporary Xbox platforms, a developer mentioned in a community post that the versions for Switch and PS5 were still undergoing optimization. Simultaneously with the December 23rd launch of “Sandrock Online” on PlayStation systems, a much-anticipated multiplayer feature was also introduced to the Switch and PS5 builds of “My Time at Sandrock.

In a fresh trailer, it’s been revealed that PM Studios, joint publisher of “My Time at Sandrock”, has incorporated cross-platform multiplayer functionality for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 editions of the game. Originally, Pathea Games designed the single-player mode of their popular RPG as a narrative-driven experience. However, the upcoming title, “Sandrock Online”, is geared towards offering an open-ended sandbox experience instead. This multiplayer version allows up to four players to engage simultaneously, with points being awarded within the Workshop Reputation system for activities such as building structures, engaging in combat, and pursuing relationships with numerous potential partners featured in “My Time at Sandrock”.

Does My Time at Sandrock Have Crossplay Support?

  • Yes, on PC, PS5, Switch, and Xbox Series X/S

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that the latest DLC for Pathea Games’ farming simulator, titled “Love Chroniques,” has significantly enriched the storylines of four characters from “My Time at Sandrock.” These include Fang, Logan, Mi-an, and Nia. In addition, a free update released concurrently with the expansion in October added more romantic content for Amirah, Grace, Owen, Qi, Unsuur, and Justice. This update also introduced new monsters, a bus system, and numerous other features. Previously, the “Monster Whisperer” expansion for “My Time at Sandrock” had provided tools to aid players in their monster-hunting escapades. Both these expansions are exclusive to single-player gameplay.

In September, Pathea Games unveiled their upcoming project – an open-world post-apocalyptic RPG named “My Time at Evershine”. The Kickstarter campaign for “My Time at Evershine”, which follows the storyline after “My Time at Portia” and “My Time at Sandrock”, aimed to gather $200,000 from supporters. However, it surpassed its goal dramatically, raising nearly $3 million instead. Due to the success of its crowdfunding endeavor, “My Time at Evershine” is now fully funded and Pathea Games can bypass an Early Access launch on Steam, moving straight towards a full release.
