Itachi Uchiha is a remarkably powerful character in the Naruto series, known for his incredible ninja techniques. These abilities allow him to defeat even the most skilled opponents, making him a true force to be reckoned with. Though not necessarily the strongest Uchiha ever, Itachi’s potent jutsu put him among the elite, like Madara, Obito, and Sasuke.
It’s easy to see why so many Naruto fans still want Itachi back, even though his character was perfectly written. Though he’s gone, his impact continues to shape the tactics and fights of later characters. The same goes for his powerful abilities – fans still miss his signature moves like Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and his famous crow clone technique, which he often used in battle.
Crow Clone Jutsu
Itachi’s Unique Take on Shadow Clones
In the world of Naruto, crows are strongly associated with Itachi Uchiha. He frequently uses them in battle, for gathering information, and creating illusions. Itachi can control large groups of crows to make copies of himself, and this method requires much less energy than the standard Shadow Clone technique.
Although Itachi’s crow clones aren’t particularly strong on their own, a large number of them can be dangerous because he can use them to set off explosions. He also uses these clones to trick his enemies, making it easier for him to perform more powerful techniques like genjutsu.
Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Flower Nail Crimson
Itachi’s Lethal Shurikens of Fire
Itachi Uchiha is widely considered a master of both shurikenjutsu and Fire Release techniques. His exceptional skill allows him to flawlessly execute his powerful move, Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Flower Nail Crimson, even in difficult situations. This technique effectively combines shuriken with incredibly potent flames.
Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Flower Nail Crimson is a powerful attack meant to directly harm opponents, unlike Itachi’s technique which creates distractions. While incredibly damaging due to its ongoing effects, it’s not impossible to defend against, as Killer B demonstrated with a successful block.
Yasaka Magatama
Itachi’s High-Speed Chakra Beads
Itachi’s abilities also include creating special, size-shifting beads that function like shuriken, but he can only do this when his Susanoo is active. He considers these, known as Yasaka Beads, to be his most powerful long-range attack, allowing him to defeat enemies from afar with incredible force.
Itachi’s Susanoo typically creates three spinning beads, each incredibly sharp and fast. These beads then combine into one powerful attack. It’s a very dangerous ability, easily cutting through even strong defenses and energy barriers.
Tsukuyomi
Itachi’s Genjutsu of Absolute Torture
Itachi Uchiha is well-known not only for his skills with shuriken and fire techniques, but also for his incredibly strong illusions. His Tsukuyomi technique famously put Kakashi Hatake out of commission for a long time, inflicting days of intense pain on him in just a few seconds – all despite Kakashi also having the Sharingan.
As a huge fan of the Naruto series, let me tell you, Itachi’s genjutsu, Tsukuyomi, is terrifying! Just a quick look into his eyes, and you’re instantly trapped in a world he completely controls. Unless you’re incredibly strong mentally or have a powerful Sharingan yourself, breaking free is practically impossible. Seriously, it’s one of the most formidable abilities in the whole series!
Amaterasu
Itachi’s Relentless Black Flames
Amaterasu, Itachi’s unique flame technique, is black because it’s impossible to put out once it hits its target. It burns continuously until everything in its path is completely incinerated. What makes Amaterasu different from other fire attacks is its incredible heat – it burns with the same intensity as the sun’s core.
I’ve noticed that Itachi really takes advantage of Amaterasu’s incredible power – not just for offense, but for getting out of tough spots too. He used it to escape from both Yagura and Jiraiya. It even played a key role in his fight against Nagato, letting him quickly take out Nagato’s summoned creatures.
Izanami
Itachi’s Genjutsu That Forces Acceptance of Fate
Izanami is a particularly complex genjutsu from the anime Naruto, used by Itachi Uchiha (and, briefly, Naori Uchiha). What sets it apart from typical genjutsu is that it doesn’t happen instantly. It needs preparation – the target has to be lured into a specific situation or trap set by Itachi, much like when he used it against Kabuto Yakushi.
Simply put, Izanami allows Itachi to trap opponents in a repeating cycle, forcing them to relive the same events continuously. The only escape from this cycle is to fully accept what has happened and take responsibility for their choices.
Susanoo
Itachi’s Spectral Warrior of Absolute Power
Black Zetsu was so impressed by Itachi Uchiha’s Susanoo that he believed it couldn’t be defeated. Considering Black Zetsu has lived for centuries, this is high praise and clearly shows just how incredibly powerful Itachi was when using his Susanoo.
Susanoo are created to boost a user’s fighting skills, but Itachi’s is special because it’s equally strong on offense and defense. This balance comes from the unique weapons he uses: the Totsuka Blade, which can seal whatever it hits, and the Yata Mirror, which can block nearly any attack, making Itachi very difficult to harm.
