As a huge Naruto fan, I’m always amazed by the Rasengan! It’s such a classic technique that Naruto worked so hard to master, and it’s awesome to see how other ninjas have taken it and made it their own. We’ve seen versions from Jiraiya and the legendary Minato, and even Konohamaru and Boruto have learned it, each adding their own twist. But honestly, Boruto’s Uzuhiko Rasengan seems like the most powerful one yet – it’s incredible!
Many fans of Naruto have questioned why Sasuke Uchiha never learned the Rasengan, considering his impressive ability to control chakra and his skill in battle. He chose to learn and perfect the Chidori instead, which suits his natural talent for lightning-based techniques. However, it’s still interesting to think about if Sasuke ever thought about adding the Rasengan to the moves he could use.
Sasuke Has Never Used Rasengan
Sasuke’s Signature Jutsu Is Chidori
- No one taught Rasengan to Sasuke.
- Sasuke fights Naruto with Chidori.
It’s been a long time since Naruto finished, and surprisingly, Sasuke Uchiha has never used the Rasengan. He hasn’t even tried to learn it from Kakashi or anyone else who knows the technique. This continues in the Boruto series, where Sasuke consistently relies on his own signature moves like the Chidori, along with lightning-based attacks and illusions powered by his special dojutsu.
Sasuke has never shown any interest in learning Rasengan, not even when he started teaching Boruto Uzumaki. Although Boruto developed his own strong version called Uzuhiko, Sasuke hasn’t bothered to learn it, which seems intentional. The writers likely want to avoid giving Sasuke a technique so strongly linked to his rival, Naruto, as it would be unnecessary for them to share the same signature move.
In Naruto Shippuden episode 215, around the 13-minute mark, there’s a quick, three-second scene showing an interesting “what if” scenario. Naruto imagines what would happen if their roles were reversed, and we briefly see Sasuke using Rasengan while Naruto uses Chidori. It’s a captivating moment, even though it’s very short.
Sasuke Could Learn Rasengan If He Tried
Sasuke Has Exceptional Chakra Control
- Sasuke is a fast learner, according to Kakashi.
- Chidori fits Sasuke more than Rasengan.
I’ve always been impressed by Sasuke Uchiha’s natural talent. He’s remarkably skilled with chakra, his dojutsu, and ninjutsu overall. Even as a young kid, people recognized him as a genius, quickly picking up incredibly difficult techniques like the Chidori. Kakashi himself was amazed at how fast Sasuke learned it, which really highlights just how gifted he is. Of course, his Uchiha heritage played a big role in his abilities, making him exceptional at almost everything he tries.
Sasuke Uchiha definitely has the potential to learn Rasengan. He’s incredibly skilled at controlling his chakra, so creating the spinning sphere of energy wouldn’t be a major challenge. Considering his natural talent surpasses even Kakashi’s, mastering the technique should be within his reach, though becoming truly proficient would still take practice.
This is the path I walk on. Not you or anyone can change that.—Sasuke Uchiha
There’s a widespread misunderstanding about how Sasuke could learn the Rasengan using his Sharingan. A lot of fans think he could just copy it visually, but that’s not how it works. The Rasengan doesn’t require any hand seals, so simply seeing it isn’t enough to learn it. Understanding how the Rasengan works – specifically, the precise way chakra is rotated and compressed – is the key to mastering it.
Sasuke Doesn’t Need Rasengan
Sasuke Has More Jutsu Than Naruto
Sasuke, a ninja from Naruto, is known for his incredibly strong abilities. He actually has a wider range of techniques than Naruto, which makes him a more adaptable and surprising fighter. Because of this, he doesn’t need to learn Rasengan – he can defeat enemies using his existing powerful skills.
It would have been really interesting to see Sasuke combine his natural abilities with the Rasengan, maybe even creating a brand new version of the attack. If he’d used it during his final fight with Naruto, it could have made their battle even more spectacular. Just picture Naruto’s surprise if Sasuke suddenly created a Rasengan out of nowhere!
Even though it seems unlikely, there’s still a possibility Sasuke might use the Rasengan someday, which would excite fans. If not him, his daughter Sarada could potentially combine the Rasengan with fire or lightning to create a completely new technique of her own.
