Naruto Has Already Revealed An Organization Stronger Than The Akatsuki

The Akatsuki is a memorable part of the Naruto series. The group started many years before the main story takes place, and its purpose evolved over time. Initially, they worked as hired guns, taking on jobs from villages to fight in their wars, which allowed them to earn a lot of money.

When I first encountered Akatsuki, under Yahiko’s leadership, it seemed like a genuinely hopeful group. They were dedicated to helping the people of Amegakure, who were constantly caught in the crossfire of war, and they didn’t want to cause harm. But everything changed when Nagato took charge. He had a completely different vision – he wanted to transform Akatsuki into a powerful, aggressive organization focused on collecting all the tailed beasts. He knew he couldn’t do it alone, so he started looking for others to help him achieve this new, much more dangerous goal.

The Akatsuki Had Many Powerful Members

Nagato brought together a lot of strong people, and they were key to the organization’s achievements. In the anime Naruto, ten characters remained dedicated members of the Akatsuki, and they are:

  • Nagato Uzumaki
  • Konan
  • Itachi Uchiha
  • Obito Uchiha
  • Kisame Hoshigaki
  • Hidan
  • Kakakuzu
  • Deidara
  • Sasori
  • Zetsu

The Akatsuki Took Down Many Dangerous Fighters

Wow, the Akatsuki were seriously intimidating! Almost all of them had incredible powers, making them unbelievably tough opponents. If I had to pick the most powerful, it would definitely be Nagato, Itachi, and Obito. Nagato was on another level with his Rinnegan – he could control six bodies at once! I remember being shocked when I learned he almost wiped out the Hidden Leaf Village with just one attack. It was a truly terrifying display of power.

Itachi Uchiha was an incredibly talented ninja with powerful abilities like Tsukuyomi, Amaterasu, and Susanoo. Although he wasn’t always at full strength due to illness, he usually won any battle he fought. Beyond his own skills, Itachi also played a crucial role in controlling Obito and stopping him from making reckless choices.

Throughout most of the Naruto series, Obito Uchiha successfully concealed his true identity, revealing it only at a crucial moment. His power was limited to the short-distance ability Kamui, accessed through his Mangekyou Sharingan. Despite once boasting incredibly powerful members, the Akatsuki is no longer the most formidable organization in the Naruto world.

The Kara Is Stronger Than The Akatsuki

In the Boruto series, a group called Kara was introduced, initially led by Jigen, but secretly controlled by Isshiki Otsutsuki. This organization was created by the Otsutsuki clan with the goal of obtaining the Chakra Fruit. Kara was structured with two main divisions: the Inners and the Outers.

The Outers were support staff, working for the organization from a distance. Ao was one of these Outers, devoting his life to the group. While capable, the Outers were far less powerful than the Inners, who were the organization’s true strength. Each Inner had undergone extensive physical enhancements, making them superhuman. They had also received genetic material from Shibai Otsutsuki. Similar to the Akatsuki, the organization’s leadership had shifted over time, but its core objective remained consistent. The initial version of Kara, under the leadership of Jigen, included the following members:

  • Jigen
  • Code
  • Kashin Koji
  • Amado
  • Delta
  • Victor
  • Boro

All Kara Members Had Strong Abilities

The Inners are powerful enough to defeat an Akatsuki member. Jigen or Isshiki Otsutsuki, however, could easily destroy the entire Akatsuki – he was strong enough to simultaneously overpower both Naruto and Sasuke. Isshiki possessed the Kokugan, a unique and rare Kekkei Genkai exclusive to the Otsutsuki Clan. This powerful eye granted him abilities like Sukunahikona and Daikokuten.

Isshiki’s Sukunahikona allowed him to drastically reduce the size of himself or any object. This was useful for dodging attacks and launching unexpected ones, even giving Naruto and Sasuke trouble. While his Daikokuten technique doesn’t directly inflict damage, it’s still incredibly dangerous. Isshiki used it to trap anything shrunk with Sukunahikona in a separate dimension where time stands still.

By combining his two abilities, Isshiki easily defeated Naruto and Sasuke. Considering how much stronger Naruto and Sasuke are now compared to the members of the Akatsuki, it’s clear Isshiki could defeat the entire organization on his own. With help from the other members of Kara, the battle would be overwhelmingly one-sided.
