Netflix is launching a new soccer game officially licensed by FIFA, and it will be available to play only through Netflix Games before the 2026 World Cup.
After ending its long relationship with EA Sports, the FIFA license was available for other gaming companies. While many expected 2K to pick it up, it’s actually Netflix that has partnered with FIFA, the organization that governs soccer.
Netflix’s FIFA Football Simulation Game Launches in 2026
According to FootballGamingZone, the new game will be available only on Netflix Games before the 2026 World Cup, hosted in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The new game, created by Delphi Interactive and coming to Netflix, aims to capture the excitement and heartfelt moments of the tournament in a truly immersive way.
The game is easy to pick up, but offers plenty of depth for experienced players, and is accessible to everyone. You can play by yourself or with others online, and all you need to play is a Netflix subscription and a phone.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced a partnership with Netflix Games and Delphi Interactive leading up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He stated that this collaboration is a significant step for FIFA, demonstrating their dedication to improving football gaming and aiming to connect with fans of all ages globally, ultimately changing how simulation games are made.
This updated game ushers in a new generation of digital football experiences. It will be included with all Netflix memberships and represents a landmark moment for FIFA.
We’ll share more information in 2026. While we don’t have an exact launch date yet, we anticipate it will happen before June 11, 2026 – the date the tournament kicks off with the Mexico vs. South Africa match.
