Neva: Empathy Achievement and Trophy Guide

Neva: Empathy Achievement and Trophy Guide

As a seasoned adventurer with countless hours spent traversing treacherous terrains and battling formidable foes, I can confidently say that this journey through the mystical realm of Neva is unlike any other. The game’s unique blend of platforming, combat, and puzzle-solving keeps me on my toes, always eager to uncover the next challenge.

In the tale of Neva, the second act unfolds as Autumn approaches. Now grown, Neva stands strong against sinister powers. She battles side by side with you, pinning down enemies when situations become too intense. Additionally, following every skirmish, she restores your strength to its peak.

In the second chapter of the game Neva, you’ll notice it’s more extensive and divided into various sections. Each segment holds its own secrets and rewards for the players to discover, similar to the feeding spots from the previous chapter. Here, we’ll help you find each corpse required to unlock the Empathy Achievement/Trophy in Neva.

How to Unlock Empathy Achievement/Trophy in Neva

In part 2, chapter 2, you’ll find bodies of animals that your adversaries might control to battle you. Once defeated, Neva will sit before these bodies. You can then converse with her, and she’ll cleanse the body. To earn the Empathy achievement, make sure to purify all seven contaminated corpses within this chapter.

Here are the locations for each of these corpses in Neva:

Upon rising with Neva by your side, take note that the forest appears different from before. As you advance, you’ll come across an injured boar hobbling towards you and collapsing after a short distance. During your journey, you may also meet crawling adversaries, but their resistance should be manageable for you at this stage.

As an alternative, start by heading left at the beginning to collect the Secret Blossom required for Chapter 2. (or “As another option, begin by moving left initially to gather the Chapter 2 Secret Blooming Item“)

In a short while, you’ll come across your initial encounter with a deceased boar that has been taken over by a crawling creature. The reanimated boar will then charge at you. To avoid its attack, just jump and weave through its path. After two charging instances, the boar will collapse, giving you an opportunity to strike at the monster inhabiting it. It requires three attacks to eliminate the monster controlling the boar.

After that, Neva will sit in front of the motionless boar. Pet her to purify the corpse.

Continue advancing in the chapter, leaping from platform to platform amidst the misty woods. At some stage, you’ll reach an amphitheater where a decomposed boar’s carcass lies. Upon entering the amphitheater, creepy creatures will emerge. You’ll have to eliminate all these creatures.

Should they successfully approach the wild boar, they’ll gain control over it, making it necessary for you to evade not only the enemy attacks but also the boar’s aggressive charges as well.

After killing all the enemies, pet Neva near the dead boar to purify it.

As you progress through the game level, a third deceased body appears slightly later on. At some stage, you’ll need to ascend a cliff using the climbable white blossoms. You’ll recognize the spot when you notice the carcasses of dead cranes scattered around. When you reach the center of this space, the once lifeless cranes will miraculously spring back to life and fly away. They will then swoop down towards you before collapsing, revealing a hidden monster beneath them.

Avoid the monster’s aerial assaults and slay the creatures hidden within the two cranes. Before these creatures get to the cranes, take out any crawling monsters that you encounter. After completing the battle sequence, show affection to Neva to cleanse the remains.

Following the cleansing of crane carcasses, your journey leads you to traverse the limbs of a drifting tree. Upon reaching its conclusion, the tree shatters beneath you, sending you plummeting into an arena where a deceased boar lies, accompanied by crawling creatures that attack. After engaging in combat with them for some time, these creatures will seize control of the boar’s remains, thus initiating the boss battle.

The concept remains unchanged: evade the attack and retaliate against the beasts once they’re vulnerable. However, this time around, the boar will scatter harmful thorns as it charges. To steer clear of these thorns, you’ll need to jump twice and swiftly dodge through its charge.

After killing all the monsters possessing the boar, pet Neva near it to purify the corpse.

Following the Boar battle, you gain the capacity to grapple with Neva. Begin moving right, utilizing this new skill to solve puzzles. Eventually, you’ll encounter another cliff where you see two deceased cranes. You have the option to either halt the advancing monsters before they reach the carcasses or conquer the haunted cranes later on. Don’t forget to pet Neva after the combat to cleanse the remains.

Following the skirmish, you’ll need to navigate some additional jumping puzzles. Soon afterward, you’ll reach a battlefield. Finish off the fight sequence and cleanse the entities by stroking Neva.

The final corpse comes near the end of the chapter. Keep progressing through the sections as normal, and at one point, you’ll have to climb up to a cliff through the fog. Head right, and you’ll come face to face with a giant Bison boss.

As it approaches gradually, you notice the menacing creatures atop the buffalo. Engage those exposed creatures using Neva, all while retreating. Additionally, combat the monsters that materialize on the ground with your sword. When you’ve subdued all the monsters infesting the bison, the battle will be over.

As a victorious gamer, I’d gently caress my spirit wolf nearby the vanquished boss in Neva, unlocking the Empathy achievement by showing compassion even in battle.
