Embark Studios has released a new update (patch 1.12.0) for ARC Raiders on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. While it’s a small update, it fixes several important issues players have reported, including a recurring problem that let people escape the boundaries of the Stella Montis map during player-versus-player combat.
A new update for ARC Raiders arrived just a week after the previous one, following a holiday break for the developers at Embark Studio. The update, numbered 1.11.0, included a popular cosmetic pack but also significantly reduced the power of some commonly used weapons and items. Most notably, the Trigger Nade – a powerful grenade that had been dominating player-versus-player combat – had its damage range and speed reduced. The delay before detonation was also increased. Additionally, the fire rate of the Kettle weapon was lowered to prevent players from using programs to fire it too quickly.
ARC Raiders Update Fixes Stella Montis Exploit
Since the Stella Montis map was added to ARC Raiders in November, players have been consistently discovering ways to break the game and access areas outside the intended play space. Despite several updates from the developers at Embark to fix these issues, players keep finding new glitches. A new update released today focuses on resolving these out-of-bounds exploits on Stella Montis. Embark hopes this patch will finally resolve the problem, which has been a source of frustration for the game’s community for weeks.
Update 1.12.0 includes several bug fixes and addresses various exploits, as detailed in the patch notes below. Embark has resolved issues that allowed players to unfairly duplicate ammo and items, and also fixed a problem where players could damage others through walls or objects. Unfortunately, this January 20th update for ARC Raiders is limited to these fixes. Players hoping for the new Toxic Swamp map will need to wait, as Embark hasn’t announced when the next content update will be released.
There’s exciting news for ARC Raiders players: Embark Studios has hinted at several new maps coming in the next year, with plans for a big update in 2026. While a detailed schedule isn’t available yet, Embark has confirmed the maps will all be different sizes. The recent addition of Stella Montis in November significantly changed the gameplay experience, offering a smaller, more intimate setting with narrow corridors that quickly became popular for player-versus-player combat.
A lot of players are predicting the next map for ARC Raiders will take place near an erupting volcano. This belief comes from several hints and conversations found within the game itself.
Players are requesting several improvements to make the game more enjoyable, particularly with the user interface. Fortunately, the developers at Embark know players really want a feature to save their preferred gear setups in ARC Raiders. This would significantly cut down on time spent preparing in the starting area and get players into the action faster. In fact, the game’s lead designer even said he personally uses a basic setup to avoid the hassle of constantly creating new ones.
