A cute case for the DualSense Wireless Controller and a plush toy of Astro Bot have been released. Even though Astro Bot has been available for over a year, this new set of accessories might appeal to fans of the popular PlayStation 5 game.
It’s surprising to think the PlayStation 5 is already more than five years old! Since its release, Sony has launched several exclusive games, and Astro Bot stands out as a highlight. This 3D platformer from Team Asobi recently won Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2024 and has received fantastic reviews from both players and critics. The game builds on the enjoyable experience of Astro’s Playroom, offering a colorful and diverse world that many fans are loving. A key to its success is how it uses the PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller, especially features like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
Astro Bot-Themed Case and Red Panda Plush Available for Pre-Order
With the huge success of Astro Bot, Sony has launched a limited-edition DualSense controller featuring the game’s character. Now, fans can expand their collection with even more themed items! A protective case for the DualSense controller and a cute Red Panda plushie are now available as a bundle for $56.99. You can only purchase this bundle directly from the PlayStation website, and while it officially releases on March 26th, you can pre-order it now.

PowerA has created a charming carrying case decorated with the adorable Astro Bot design. It not only protects your controller but also lets you charge it while it’s inside. A handy pocket keeps the charging cable organized thanks to a convenient cable pass-through. This bundle also includes a super-soft Red Panda Plushie made by Youtooz, inspired by the cute animal robots from the game. The 9-inch plushie is stuffed with high-quality PP cotton and covered in incredibly soft minky material. It’s mostly orange and brown, with a white face and bright blue eyes, giving it a cheerful look.
As a big Astro Bot fan, I’m super excited about this new case! But I heard it might not be around for long, so if you’re interested, you should probably pre-order it quickly. Just a heads-up though – it only works with the regular DualSense controller, not the pricier DualSense Edge. That’s a bit of a bummer for those of us who splurged on the Edge!
Astro Bot’s Free DLC Levels Make the Game Even Better
It’s great to see Astro Bot still getting attention more than a year after it first came out. Beyond new bundles and the limited-edition DualSense controller, the team behind the game, Team Asobi, has been adding more content. They’ve released several free downloadable levels that let you use the game’s special features, and added new collectible bots from popular franchises like Final Fantasy and Helldivers 2. They even included a festive Christmas-themed level at the end of 2024.
What happens next with Astro Bot is still uncertain. However, the game has done very well, selling millions of copies, which suggests we might see another installment someday. Alternatively, we could see more downloadable content added to the 2024 Astro Bot game. Until then, fans can enjoy trying to beat their best times on the speedrun levels.
