New Avatar: The Last Airbender Movie Leaked Online

Fans are getting a sneak peek at Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender, set to premiere on Paramount+ on October 9, 2026, after clips from the movie were unexpectedly released online. The film takes place years after the original Avatar: The Last Airbender series ended, following Aang and his friends – now young adults – as they reunite as Team Avatar for a brand new journey.

The movie Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender is the first of three planned films designed to connect the original The Last Airbender series with its sequel, The Legend of Korra. Director Lauren Montgomery revealed on Instagram that a finished version of the movie was shown to the cast last month. While the person who leaked the film didn’t share the whole thing, they did post some clips on X (formerly Twitter), which were quickly taken down due to copyright claims, suggesting the leak is real.

Nickelodeon Accidentally Emailed Someone the Full Avatar: Aang Movie

Copyright Strikes Confirm the Leak is Real

A user on X, @ImStillDissing, claims Nickelodeon mistakenly sent them the complete Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender movie. Given the film isn’t due out until October, it’s doubtful this was a standard review copy.

After clips of the movie were removed from X due to copyright claims, it’s been confirmed the leak was real. It appears Nickelodeon sent the entire movie to a user named @ImStillDissing. The leaked clips, before they were taken down, revealed new, younger designs for Team Avatar as adults – they looked noticeably younger than they did in the initial promotional image for Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender.

Despite some fan worries about the voice actors being replaced, the new Avatar: The Last Airbender movie looks visually stunning. It appears to creatively combine traditional 2D and modern 3D animation, with gorgeous visuals and a vibrant color scheme that truly captures the spirit of the original series.

A source known as @ImStillDissing didn’t release the entire movie, opting to share only small clips. These clips look really promising, which makes Nickelodeon’s decision to release the film on Paramount+ instead of in theaters even more puzzling. The shared footage also reveals that Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender will include flashbacks showing the Gaang as kids, before transitioning to the main storyline with them as teenagers.

Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender releases exclusively on Paramount+ on October 9, 2026.
