Battlefield 6’s Eastwood Map Has an Incredibly Low Helicopter Flight Ceiling
A Reddit user named DBONKA noticed that the new Eastwood map in Battlefield 6 has a very low helicopter flight ceiling – only 100 meters. The player called it frustrating, as it severely restricts how helicopters can be used. Some believe helicopters were added to the map late in development and didn’t receive enough testing. One gamer even suggested that the developers don’t want helicopters in the game but aren’t saying so, noting that other maps like Manhattan Bridge, New Sobek City, and Blackwell Field have the same problem.
This problem connects to the ongoing discussion about map sizes in Battlefield 6. Many players are disappointed that the maps are smaller than those in previous Battlefield games, hoping for larger, more open battlefields. Following the recent release of the California Resistance update, one major content addition is still planned for 2025: Winter Offensive, scheduled for December 9th.
