Players of Borderlands 4 can now use a new SHiFT code to get three free Golden Keys. This code is only valid until April 14th, so be sure to redeem it quickly to add the keys to your account.
For years, Gearbox has been giving away free items in their games using SHiFT codes. Most often, these codes unlock Golden Keys, which players can use to open Golden Chests and get rare gear. But Gearbox also uses SHiFT codes to offer exclusive skins for Borderlands 4, letting players customize how their characters look.
Borderlands 4 SHiFT Code Gives 3 Golden Keys
Randy Pitchford, head of Gearbox, recently shared a new Borderlands 4 SHiFT code on X (formerly Twitter). This code gives players three Golden Keys, usable on any platform. The code is BS633-3XR9T-W6TJ5-J33JJ-RWT5T and can be redeemed either within the game or on the SHiFT website after linking your account.

I always make sure to grab those SHiFT codes when they’re available, even though this one expires on April 14th. The awesome thing is, Golden Keys don’t disappear! They just stay in your account forever. I’m already thinking about Borderlands 4 and planning my next build, so I like to collect these keys now and save them for when I start a new character. It’s a great way to get a head start on some seriously good loot!
How to Redeem Borderlands 4 SHiFT Codes
- Go to the SHiFT website and log in to your SHiFT account.
- Open the “Gaming Platforms” tab, and make sure that your gaming account is linked to your SHiFT account.
- On the “Rewards” tab, enter the SHiFT code under the “Code Redemption” header.
- When prompted, select the platform that you would like to redeem the code on.
Don’t sweat it if you missed the latest SHiFT code! Gearbox has been awesome at dropping new ones ever since Borderlands 4 came out back in September 2025, so there’s almost always something free coming up. We’ve already gotten two codes for Golden Keys this month, and with everyone still hyped about the new Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned story pack, I’m guessing they’ll release even more soon!

Even though Borderlands 4 keeps giving players free goodies, the game has faced some challenges lately. Player numbers have dropped, so the developers were hoping the new Story Pack – which introduced the first new playable character, C4SH – would bring players back. Unfortunately, the initial reaction to the DLC was lukewarm, with many feeling the $30 price tag didn’t match the amount of content offered. More content is planned, and players are hoping future updates will provide better value.
