New Borderlands 4 Shift Codes Get You Golden Keys

Randy Pitchford, the CEO of Gearbox, has just released two new SHiFT codes for *Borderlands 4*. These codes each give players a Golden Key, which they can use to open Golden Chests and find rare items. The codes are only available for a limited time, so players should redeem them quickly.

SHiFT codes are a feature in all the *Borderlands* games that Gearbox uses to give players free in-game keys. These keys can open chests and reward rare items. Occasionally, codes unlock cosmetic items, but this is less common. As *Borderlands* games age, Gearbox tends to offer more generous codes – recently, one code provided 70 keys for different *Borderlands* titles. However, with *Borderlands 4* being newly released, it’s understandable that the developers aren’t giving away too much free loot right away.

Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford shared two new SHiFT codes on X (formerly Twitter) to test the system for Golden Keys in the upcoming *Borderlands 4*. The codes – B9XT3-HX6TT-W6BBW-TTJT3-JTFKX and 39RTT-3ZR3T-5FJBK-3J3J3-C5CRT – each give players one Golden Key. You can redeem them immediately on any account linked to the SHiFT website.

If you’re playing *Borderlands 4* and want to use the newest SHiFT codes, don’t wait! They’re only valid until September 16th. While more codes will be released later, these current Golden Keys could be really helpful for getting great loot early in the game, especially during your first playthrough.

I’ve been following the reviews for *Borderlands 4*, and it’s looking really good! OpenCritic has it at an 85, which is awesome. A lot of people were worried about how it ran on PC, but Gearbox already put out a patch to fix those issues, which is a great sign. I’m hoping that patch is just the first of many, and they keep working to make the game run perfectly for everyone.
