Good news for Xbox Game Pass members: the game *SOPA – Tale of the Stolen Potato* will be available on the service starting in October 2025. Some long-time subscribers might be curious about the delay, as *SOPA* was initially planned for release on Game Pass in 2024.
Originally planned as a launch title for Xbox Game Pass in 2024, *SOPA* is finally getting ready to release after a delay. It was initially targeted for an August 2024 launch, but development took longer than expected. Hopefully, the wait will be worth it when *SOPA* finally arrives.
SOPA Release Date

On October 7th, the adventure game *SOPA* will be available to play for subscribers of PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. *SOPA* tells the story of Miho, who unexpectedly finds himself in a fantastical South American world after simply going to get a potato for his grandmother. The game features puzzle-solving, collectible hunting, and a memorable cast of characters. *SOPA* has been generating excitement, and Game Pass members will soon have the chance to experience it firsthand.
October is shaping up to be an amazing month for Xbox Game Pass! In addition to *SOPA* arriving on October 7th, subscribers can look forward to a huge lineup of games, including *Ball x Pit* (October 15th), *Keeper* (October 17th), *Ninja Gaiden 4* (October 21st), *Bounty Star* and *Moonlighter 2* (both on October 23rd), and *The Outer Worlds 2* launching on October 29th. With so many new day-one releases, Game Pass subscribers won’t be short on exciting games to play all month long.
October is looking a little slow at the beginning, with only *SOPA* releasing in the first week. However, the rest of the month promises plenty of new game launches to compensate. Plus, September will see some new additions to Xbox Game Pass, and November is already looking strong. *Football Manager 26* is scheduled for November 4th, and the highly anticipated *Call of Duty: Black Ops 7* will be available on Game Pass from day one on November 14th.
