While the developers at Head Coach Games clearly drew inspiration from Jagex’s popular title, player reactions are currently mixed regarding whether Winds of Valen successfully captures the spirit of RuneScape.

Head Coach Games, known for last year’s Cyber League Football on Steam, has now released Winds of Valen. It’s a big leap from football to a fantasy massively multiplayer online game, but it’s great to see an independent developer trying out different types of games. It’s easy to see the influence of RuneScape in Winds of Valen.
