Since that time, little else about it has been disclosed apart from a preview and the scheduled release between 2024-2025. This upcoming series is somewhat familiar to anime enthusiasts, as the original anime incorporated parts of it in comical skits at the end of episodes, which were not connected to the main plot.

It’s been confirmed that production will unveil fresh details about their upcoming project at Jump Festa 2025, which is taking place later this month. Makoto Moriwaki is recognized for his role as a director, though he wasn’t the director for Gintama episodes (his directing portfolio includes Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun). On the other hand, Natsumi Higashida is credited as director. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu and Mitei Mark II serve as head writers for Iruma-kun.

Ginpachi-sensei serialization

The narrative was written by Tomohito Osaki, while Hideaki Sorachi receives recognition for the initial concept. It unfolded from 2006 to 2018, eventually collected in eight volumes. This tale takes place within a high school setting, where the principal character, Gin (also known as Ginpachi Sakata), is a teacher, and the remaining characters are students at the same institution.

Gintama is licensed in the US by VIZ Media, but this novel remains unpublished in English.
