On March 1st, LEGO is releasing several new sets, including Darth Vader’s Tie Fighter (set #75421) and the Batman v Superman Batmobile (set #76331). They’re also releasing a new, smaller LEGO set based on Animal Crossing. Because Animal Crossing LEGO sets can be expensive, this is an affordable option for fans who want to collect the popular tanuki character.
LEGO’s Animal Crossing sets, which came out throughout 2025, usually cost between $10 and $90. The newest set, recently confirmed after appearing in online leaks, is a small polybag containing figures of Tom Nook and a Flying Present. As fans who followed the leaks knew, the information about the number of pieces, price, and other details was accurate.
LEGO is releasing a new, small set on March 1st β set number 30731, called “Tom Nook and Flying Present.” It costs $4.99 and contains 33 pieces. You get a cute minifigure of Tom Nook, plus LEGO pieces to build a balloon, a present, and the ground. While the set is named “Flying Present,” it doesn’t actually include anything to make the present appear to be flying. However, the Tom Nook minifigure itself will likely be a big draw for many Animal Crossing fans, especially those who don’t collect LEGO seriously. It’s also a great addition for existing LEGO collectors.
New LEGO Animal Crossing Set: #30731 Tom Nook and Flying Present
- Set Name: Tom Nook and Flying Present
- Set Number: #30731
- Piece Count: 33
- Price: $4.99
- Release Date: March 1, 2026
This isn’t the first time Tom Nook has appeared in LEGO form. He was previously featured in the Nook’s Cranny and Rosie’s House set (#77050), which came out on March 1, 2024, and was retired on December 31, 2025. For fans who didn’t purchase that larger, $74.99 set, this new set offers another opportunity to collect a LEGO Tom Nook.

This LEGO polybag offers plenty of room for creativity, and LEGO fans are known for their impressive building skills. We’ve seen fans transform one LEGO set into completely different models β like turning a DeLorean into the Millennium Falcon! While we probably won’t see such a dramatic transformation with this smaller polybag, it’s easy to imagine incorporating Tom Nook into larger LEGO Animal Crossing creations.
The timing is perfect! With the recent 3.0 update and a version for the Nintendo Switch 2 on the way, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is experiencing a resurgence in popularity, drawing players back to their islands. Nintendo continues to support the game with updates, meaning Animal Crossing: New Horizons remains a strong title, and now is the ideal moment to play.
More LEGO Animal Crossing Sets Are On the Way
Although this is a good way to get the Tom Nook minifigure, some fans might choose not to buy this set. However, they should still keep an eye out for future releases this year. A trusted source, lego_minecraft_goat, says a larger set is planned for summer 2026. Not much is known about it yet, but itβs expected to be set number 77059 and cost around $59.99.
It remains to be seen if the new LEGO sets will be worth the wait, or if anything unexpected happens before they arrive. In the meantime, you can keep busy by collecting more LEGOs or spending time on your island in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
