Deck Nine and Square Enix recently announced they’ll soon be revealing the next Life is Strange game. While a listing on a ratings website suggested the title would be ‘Life is Strange: Reunion’, their social media post included a mysterious message that could mean that title isn’t accurate.
The team posted, ‘Separate fact from fiction,’ but it’s unclear whether they’re referring to the game’s story itself or to speculation that the plot has already been revealed.
Is Life is Strange: Reunion The Next Game?
Life is Strange: Double Exposure, released in 2024, concluded the series, though it received a somewhat mixed response from players. The game continued the story of Max Caulfield, and notably featured voice actor Hannah Telle reprising her role for the first time in nearly ten years.
The brief teaser released by Deck Nine for the next Life is Strange game didn’t reveal much, but it did confirm that Max Caulfield will be back. This was already hinted at during the ending of Life is Strange: Double Exposure, so it wasn’t a huge shock.
The biggest surprise for fans was the announcement that Chloe Price would be returning in Life is Strange: Reunion, the long-awaited next installment in the series.
The first Life is Strange game, which came out in 2015, lets players follow Max and Chloe as they investigate a mystery in the quiet town of Arcadia Bay. Told over five parts, the game explores typical teenage struggles, moving scenes, and surprising plot twists.
The game concluded with a difficult choice: players could either allow Chloe to die or save her by sacrificing the entire town and escaping. Later, a follow-up story called Double Exposure revealed the official ending, confirming that Chloe Price had survived.
The next installment in the Life is Strange series will be revealed in a few days! Deck Nine and Square Enix are hosting a livestream on January 20th at 1 PM EST to show it off.
Find out what’s true and what’s just speculation… We’re excited to officially announce the next Life is Strange game on January 20th at 10am Pacific Time, 1pm Eastern Time, 6pm GMT, or 7pm Central European Time.
