New MW3 Aftermarket Part is so “disappointing” players think it’s bugged

As a seasoned gamer with years of Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) under my belt, I must admit that I was initially thrilled about the JAK Devastators Aftermarket Part, envisioning a double-barreled mayhem in the game. However, after giving it a spin, I can’t help but feel let down. The fire rate of these Akimbo Reclaimer 18 Shotguns is disappointingly slow, making them more of a liability than an asset in combat situations.

With the latest JAK Devastators Aftermarket Part, you can now handle a pair of Reclaimer 18 Shotguns in MW3, effectively doubling your offensive capacity. However, users have expressed dissatisfaction with their performance in actual gameplay, some even suspecting there might be a significant issue or “serious bug” affecting them.

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, aftermarket parts were an innovative feature introduced, expanding the variety for players while customizing their loadouts. These distinctive accessories significantly alter the sensation of handling a weapon, and in certain instances, they can metamorphose the weapon into an entirely distinct type of firearm.

On the other hand, while certain choices, such as the JAK Tyrant 762, quickly gained popularity (or became “meta” picks), others have found it difficult to leave a mark or make an impression.

On September 12th, the JAK Devastators joined the Week 8 Challenges, enabling players to wield a pair of Reclaimer 18 shotguns. However, despite initial excitement, players have expressed disappointment over the “underwhelming” firing speed of these twin shotguns.

The discussion started when a Reddit user posted a video comparing the fire rate of the Devastators with the standard Reclaimer 18, showing just how much slower the Aftermarket Part makes it.

Actually, one Reclaimer, particularly the SPAS-12, can discharge an equal number of rounds when set to ‘Pump’ as it does with the Akimbo accessory within the same timeframe. Interestingly, when the user changed to the semi-auto mode, they could quickly unload even more shots in quick succession.

JAK Devastators possibly have a serious glitch.

Some Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 players believed that the lower firing rate was strategically planned by the game’s creators, fearing another overpowered weapon release (OP AMP). However, other players suggested that this issue might have arisen due to a bug or glitch in the game.

One individual expressed doubt, saying, “I sincerely think this wasn’t a purposeful design decision.” Another concurred, stating, “Absolutely, they appear to have some serious issues. When I test them at the firing range, there’s a delay, and sometimes the bullets seem to jam.

As a gamer, I’m unsure if the issue I’m experiencing with my JAK Devastators is due to a bug or if it’s just how the AMP was intended to function. The developers haven’t given us a definitive answer yet.

If it indeed turns out to be an issue, there’s a good chance that a resolution will come with the MW3 Season 6 update, which additionally includes the introduction of fresh weapons such as the DTIR 30-06 and Kastov LSW.
