New Nathan Drake Zombie Game Shows Lack of Sony Quality Control

When Uncharted 4 came out, Naughty Dog announced that Nathan Drake’s adventures were over and we wouldn’t see him searching for treasure anymore.

That might be correct, but it looks like we’ve finally figured out what he’s been doing since he retired – or at least, something along those lines.

The Uncharted Outbreak?

Players recently spotted something interesting on the PlayStation Store: a game called 28 Floors: Outbreak. What makes it stand out is that the main character looks a lot like Nathan Drake from the popular series.

This upcoming survival horror game, planned for release in 2027, puts you in a terrifying situation: the only safe haven is a functioning elevator. You’ll need to ascend to the building’s roof, assisting other survivors and battling dangerous creatures as you go.

Things get even stranger when you examine the screenshots on the PlayStation Store page – they appear to show zombie-like creatures that strongly resemble the Clickers from the game The Last of Us. You can see what people have found on the store page below.

Things get even stranger when you learn that Sony isn’t involved at all. The game is being created by Witenovastudio OÜ, a small, independent development team based in Estonia. Their website, which is still being built, says they plan to release games on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Looking through the PlayStation Store, you can find other games from this developer. There’s Comfy Corners: Unpack and Decorate, a relaxing sticker game that’s received some mixed feedback, and they also have a couple of upcoming titles: Oh Ship! Rage Co-Op Adventure and Wednesday 13th, which seems inspired by the popular Netflix show.

Looking closely at the images on the PlayStation Store page, people have noticed creatures that strongly resemble the Clickers from the game The Last of Us – they appear to be zombie-like in nature.

As of today, Sony hasn’t said anything publicly about this situation, nor have they confirmed if the game will be taken down due to potential copyright issues with Uncharted. However, an explanation of how this game ended up on their official store would be very insightful.
