Overwatch 2 Wuyang Hero Trial Start and End Times
- From August 14 at 10 AM PT to August 19 at 10 AM PT
Here’s your suggestion: If you’re eager to test out the latest character, now’s your chance! The hero trial for the support character has started, allowing you to play with Wuyang in Quick Play until August 18th. Keep in mind that progress on badges and stats won’t be tracked during this period, and for now, Wuyang can’t be utilized in Competitive Play or Stadium.
In the annals of hero trials within Overwatch 2, most contests usually span over four consecutive days. Yet, for the character Wuyang, players will enjoy an extended gameplay period of five days, which equates to a generous 120 hours, giving them ample time to test and explore his array of thrilling abilities.
In the fresh version of Overwatch 2, the new support character equips the Xuanwu Staff, which releases a controllable water ball as its main damaging attack. Additionally, it provides a passive heal-over-time effect on allies, strengthening the healing for a brief period when used similarly to Mercy’s Caduceus staff through its alternate fire. The hero’s skills, Guardian Wave and Rushing Torrent, allow him to hinder enemies and navigate the battlefield more effectively. Lastly, his Ultimate, Tidal Blast, confers a protective buffer onto an ally or himself that explodes after a brief interval, knocking down nearby adversaries and significantly healing the target.
Even though Wuyang, the new hero, will only be playable for a short time initially, enthusiasts won’t have to wait too long to officially get their hands on him. He is scheduled to debut in Season 18, set to start on August 26, precisely a week following his trial conclusion. Although the update hasn’t been formally announced yet, fans are already privy to several significant features slated for the upcoming season. These include a Competitive rank reset, a substantial overhaul of Perks, the introduction of the Payload Race Stadium game mode, and a Mythic skin for Sojourn in Overwatch 2. Keep an eye out at Gamescom from August 20-24, as Blizzard is expected to reveal more details about Season 18 during the convention.
