This delightful spin-off appears tailor-made for Minecraft enthusiasts, with its blocky world strongly reminiscent of the iconic survival game’s aesthetic.
It’s not unexpected that Nintendo has plans for more Pokemon games after the release of Pokemon Legends: Z-A, given its renown as one of the most prominent gaming franchises.
Nintendo Reveals Pokemon Pokopia for 2026
During Nintendo’s recent Nintendo Direct presentation, they revealed a trailer for the upcoming game titled “Pokemon Pokopia,” scheduled for release in 2026. In this new adventure, players will assume control of a Ditto that has morphed into a human, able to acquire unique abilities from other Pokemon to manipulate the environment. Examples demonstrated included learning to create bushes from a Bulbasaur or watering plants upon encountering a Squirtle. The game boasts adorable graphics and a Minecraft-esque blocky art style. The gameplay promises a distinctive shift in pace for Pokemon games, as it appears to prioritize building over battling between creatures.
