New Pokemon GO Event Features 15 Legendaries

A new event in Pokemon GO is letting players catch a wide variety of powerful Pokemon, including 15 different Legendary ones! The popular mobile game has already kicked off the year with exciting additions like new Pokemon and forms. So far this January, Klawf and Glimmet from the ninth generation of Pokemon have been added, and Flamigo will join the game in February. Pokemon GO is also preparing for what’s expected to be one of its biggest events of the year.

I’m so excited for the next big event in Pokemon GO! GO Tour: Kalos is starting on February 28th, and they’re even doing live events in Tainan and Los Angeles the weekend before it kicks off worldwide. The coolest part? They’re adding two brand-new Mega Evolutions – Mega Victreebel and Mega Malamar – that first appeared in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. To get us hyped, Pokemon GO is already starting a celebration of some of the most popular Pokemon. It’s going to be amazing!

The popular mobile game Pokemon GO is launching a new event called “Road to Kalos,” bringing lots of rare Pokemon and Legendary Pokemon to the game. Starting February 23rd and running up to the Kalos GO Tour, the event will highlight different regions each day, with increased chances of finding Pokemon from the five regions that came before Kalos. Players can also participate in special raids to battle and catch Legendary Pokemon, including the original Kanto birds and the cover Legendaries from various games. As a bonus, Legendary Pokemon featured during the event will have access to their unique signature moves.

The Road to Kalos event isn’t just about Legendary Pokemon! Each day, a special Pikachu dressed in a hat inspired by different regions – like the hats worn by characters such as Red and Ethan – will be featured. These highlighted Pokemon might also have unique backgrounds based on classic Pokemon games. Plus, players will have a chance to hatch rare “pseudo-Legendary” Pokemon like Larvitar, Bagon, Beldum, and Gible from 2 km eggs during the event.

Road to Kalos Leads into Pokemon GO’s First Big Event of the Year

The Road to Kalos event is a great way for Pokémon GO players to start the GO Tour season with exciting activities. The event will highlight the Kalos region – first seen in Pokémon X and Y – by increasing the number of Kalos Pokémon appearing in the game. At the end of the event, players will have a chance to catch the legendary Pokémon Xerneas or Yveltal with a unique background. Those who purchase the Deluxe GO Pass for Road to Kalos will also get a special encounter with Hoopa Unbound during a preview event.

The next Pokemon GO Tour will happen as the Pokemon franchise celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026. There’s a lot planned for the Pokemon series all year long, and rumors suggest a big announcement for the next generation of main Pokemon games will be made during the Pokemon Day livestream. Pokemon GO players can expect more details about the mobile game soon as the anniversary approaches.
