New Pokemon Legends: Z-A Character Looks Suspiciously Like a Gen 9 Legendary

Fans of Pokemon Legends: Z-A posted on social media, drawing parallels between one of the game’s fresh characters, Corbeau from the Rust Syndicate, and Fezandipiti, one of the Legendary Loyal Three creatures from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The trainers of Pokemon Legends: Z-A noted similarities in Corbeau’s attire and his scowling expression to the black, brown, and pink feathers sported by Fezandipiti.

In the July 2025 broadcast of Pokemon Presents, the last segment focused on providing additional details about the main attributes and secondary characters in the game Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Among other things, they unveiled Mega Dragonite and the concept of Rogue Mega-Evolved Pokemon. Additionally, they presented Corbeau, the malevolent head of the Rust Syndicate who is proficient with Poison-type Pokemon such as Arbok. Players of Pokemon Legends: Z-A will encounter him in the Z-A Royale, a challenging battle competition that resembles the Gym battles from previous Pokemon games.

It is yet unclear if Corbeau and the Rust Syndicate are indeed the main antagonists in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, but fans have pointed out a striking similarity between the syndicate leader’s appearance and that of the legendary Pokemon, Fezandipiti. On the Pokemon subreddit, a user by the name VolcanicSquad09 posted an image side-by-side comparison of Corbeau’s attire and Fezandipiti. The similarities include Corbeau’s black coat with poison-drop patterns at the bottom hem, pink earrings, golden spectacles, and a Keystone brooch used for Mega Evolution.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A Fans Compare Corbeau To Fezandipiti

In Corbeau’s appearance, there is a resemblance to Fezandipiti’s plumage, as it sports brown and black feathers with a pink Toxic Chain bestowed upon it by Pecharunt. Some Pokemon trainers perceived this similarity with Fezandipiti, while other fans pointed out that Corbeau’s poison-drop theme bears a striking resemblance to the one used by Atticus, the lieutenant of Team Star in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet who specializes in Poison-type Pokemon.

In the world of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Fezandipiti is one of Kitakami’s faithful trio, a Legendary Pokemon with both Poison and Fairy types. Renowned for its exceptional special defense and speed, this enigmatic creature poses a significant challenge in battles due to its extensive move set and Toxic Chain ability.

Fezandipiti, much like Munkidori and Okidogi, carries the Toxic Chain theme and power, acting as Pecharunt’s loyal retainers. You can encounter and catch Fezandipiti on Kitakami’s Oni Mountain during the Teal Mask expansion’s main storyline.

Nonetheless, more specifics about Corbeau and the Rust Syndicate are yet to be revealed at present. With Mega Evolution making a comeback as a fundamental feature in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, it’s unclear how Corbeau and other trainers will incorporate it into the Z-A Royale competition.
