New Pokemon Legends: Z-A Update is Out Now

Nintendo has released a significant update, version 2.0.0, for Pokemon Legends: Z-A, fixing some problems and introducing the Mega Dimension DLC for players who bought the expansion. Despite launching recently on October 16th, Pokemon Legends: Z-A is already receiving major new content with the Mega Dimension pack, offering players plenty of new Pokémon to discover and capture.

As a huge Pokémon fan, I’ve been following all the news about the Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and Nintendo’s been showing off the new forms we’ll be battling! Some of them are really getting people talking, and the new Mega Chimecho is definitely one of the most debated. It’s a cool design, blending Chimecho with elements from its earlier form, Chingling, but some fans are wondering if its stats will be competitive. Luckily, we don’t have to just speculate anymore – Update 2.0.0 is out now, so we can all try it out for ourselves!

The long-awaited Update 2.0.0 for Pokemon Legends: Z-A is here, unlocking the Mega Dimension! If you’ve purchased the DLC, you can start playing the new story content as soon as the update is finished. To begin, you’ll need to complete the main story of Pokemon Legends: Z-A first. Once that’s done, a new side quest will become available, and you can start the Mega Dimension DLC by going to Hotel Z.

Alongside the ability to catch new Pokémon, like Mega Baxcalibur, Pokémon Legends: Z-A introduces a brand-new storyline. The game takes players to Hyperspace Lumiose, a strangely colorless alternate version of the main city. You can reach these areas through special distortions appearing all over Lumiose, with the help of a new character named Ansha and her Hoopa. Players can even bake donuts using berries they find, which affect their experience within these distortions, potentially leading to encounters with powerful Pokémon.

Nintendo has announced several new Mega Evolutions for fan-favorite Pokémon, like Mega Lucario Z. Plus, data miners have found evidence suggesting the Pokémon Legends: Z-A DLC will bring back around 138 Pokémon. Now that the DLC is released, players can experience all the surprises firsthand.

With the new content, Nintendo has also released Version 2.0.0, which includes fixes for “several issues.” However, they haven’t specified what those issues were. This is typical for Nintendo’s games – updates for titles like Donkey Kong Bananza, Mario Kart World, and others often simply state that issues have been fixed without providing further explanation.

Many Pokémon fans are wondering what’s next for Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Typically, Pokémon games receive two major downloadable expansions – like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, which included the stories “The Teal Mask” and “The Indigo Disk.” Currently, only the “Mega Dimension” expansion has been announced for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, so fans will need to be patient to learn about future content.
