The Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) Pocket version has made numerous significant updates to the game since its launch, incorporating many features that fans had been eagerly anticipating. In early 2025, trading was introduced to the mobile TCG, but players criticized the system due to its stringent conditions for exchanging cards with friends. More recently, a ranked mode has been added to online battles, enabling players to measure their abilities and deck-building skills against others in a more competitive setting. Now, The Pokémon Company is unveiling an exciting new project for enthusiasts of the game.
According to ComicBook, the Pokemon TCG Pocket has revealed its initial line of official physical goods which are scheduled to hit stores in Japan at the start of April. The Pokemon Company is planning to introduce three “Paper Theater” displays that showcase some of the game’s first interactive cards, highlighting the artwork for Mewtwo EX, Pikachu EX, and Charizard EX. This merchandise release will also include a sacoche bag, along with a keychain featuring the Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Hourglass packs, a phone strap, and special collectible coins. The Pokemon TCG Pocket merchandise is set to go live on the Japanese Pokemon Center website on April 3, followed by a physical release on April 5.
Pokemon TCG Pocket is Releasing New Merchandise
The debut merchandise from Pokemon TCG Pocket follows closely as the game’s latest sets bring significant modifications to its gameplay dynamics. Furthermore, these expansions provide numerous opportunities for players to construct decks, such as the Giratina EX from Shining Revelry and Arceus EX from Triumphant Light.
The Pokémon Trading Card Game (Pocket version) aims to sustain its initial strong performance by providing a wealth of content in the coming days for its mobile counterpart. Starting from April, multiple promotional events will be added to the Pokémon TCG Pocket, including the distribution of free Trade Tokens and special events like a Pawmot drop event and a Fighting Type Mass Outbreak centered around Lucario ex. Furthermore, it’s anticipated that another new expansion will be introduced in Pokémon TCG Pocket, with the sixth set scheduled to launch on April 30. Fans of Pokémon TCG Pocket should have much to look forward to in its upcoming developments.
