According to a reliable source, Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty are expected to become available on PlayStation Plus later this month. Although Sony hasn’t confirmed this yet, reports suggest both games, released in 2023, will be added to the Extra and Premium tiers within the next week.
PlayStation Plus has become incredibly popular with PlayStation 4 and 5 owners since it launched nearly sixteen years ago. It’s changed a lot over time, and now offers three different membership levels: Essential, Extra, and Premium. The base ‘Essential’ tier gives you online multiplayer access, free monthly games, and cloud storage. If you choose ‘Extra’ or ‘Premium’, you get even more perks, including access to a large library of games—similar to Xbox Game Pass—where games are added and removed each month. Unlike the free monthly games with the Essential tier, which you can play as long as your subscription is active, the games in the Extra and Premium catalogs are only available for a limited time.
PS Plus Leak Claims Two New Games Coming December 16
December is shaping up to be a great month for PlayStation Plus members, and it might get even better soon. Reliable leaker Billbil-kun (via Dealabs) reports that Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will be added to the Extra and Premium tiers on December 16th. If this is true, players will have two new games to enjoy in just a few days. Billbil-kun also expects Sony to officially announce these additions today, December 10th, around 11 AM Eastern Time.
Released in 2023, Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty offer very different gaming experiences. Mirage follows up on the previous Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, taking players to 9th-century Baghdad to learn the story of Basim Ibn Ishaq. It delivers the classic Assassin’s Creed gameplay fans love, with lots of climbing, stealth, and exploration. Wo Long, created by Team Ninja, is a challenging action game inspired by the Souls-like genre, where you’ll battle historical figures and enormous creatures from Chinese mythology.
December has been a great month for PlayStation Plus, with several new games added. At the start of the month, subscribers gained access to Killing Floor 3, LEGO Horizon Adventures, Neon White, Synduality: Echo of Ada, and The Outlast Trials. These games are available to claim until January 2026. Plus, those with Extra or Premium subscriptions also received an enhanced version of Red Dead Redemption on December 2nd. Even without the possible additions of Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, it’s been a packed month!
Several games will be removed from PS Plus Extra and Premium in December. Twelve titles, including popular games like Battlefield 2042, Grand Theft Auto 3 – The Definitive Edition, and Forspoken, will no longer be available starting December 16th. However, the possible addition of Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, along with the recent release of the popular indie game Skate Story, could balance out these losses this month.
