New PS Plus Games Launch On January 21st, 2025

In the coming days, you’ll find that the selection of games available on PlayStation Plus will be expanded. This expansion offers fresh gaming journeys for Premium subscribers, encompassing recent hit titles, beloved independent games, and classic favorites.

Users on lower tiers also received some attention; the fundamental tier had its launch earlier this month. This update introduced The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe and Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit onto the platform, but these games weren’t the only additions.

Currently, there are eleven fresh games being added to the Premium level, with nine of these games also accessible within the PS Plus Extra tier.

The two Premium-exclusive games are Medievil 2, and Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings.

Among the nine games, these are the ones accessible to PS Plus Extra members: ANNO: Mutationem, Atlas Fallen: Reign of Sand, Citizen Sleeper, God of War: Ragnarok, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Orcs Must Die 3, Poker Club, Sayonara Wild Hearts, and SD Gundam Battle Alliance.

Which PS Plus Game Should You Play First?

If you’re seeking suggestions for your next game to play: God of War: Ragnarok is an excellent choice, especially if you’re a PlayStation enthusiast. Chances are, you’ve already heard the buzz and might have even played it yourself. However, in case you haven’t, let me tell you why it’s so highly acclaimed.

Choosing Citizen Sleeper is a smart choice too – with its sequel slated for release later this year, there’s buzz that it could be a major success. Playing the original game now will ensure you stay updated on the series.

This game titled “Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name” is part of the extensive Yakuza series, providing numerous other titles for you to delve into once you’ve completed it. If you’re new to the Yakuza universe and looking for an immersive journey, this game could be an excellent starting point.

So, your shortlist is:

  • God of War: Ragnarok
  • Citizen Sleeper
  • Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name
